  1. Those teams are waaay better than us. Nebraska sucks at basketball and we are delusional as fans. Creighton will curb stop the Huskers and show them that they are truly the only game in the state. Creighton has a three-time All American on their team and they are big time now that they have found their rightful place in the Big East (which they will dominate like it was the MVC). We might as well tear down our new arena (because it sucks compared to the CenturyLink palace) and fold our athletic department because nobody likes Nebraska and our fans are dumb. We lose by whatever margin Doug McDermott wants it to be.

  2. It wouldn't surprise me if Roy Williams gets pissed if his grandkids win in Candyland. No chance.

  4. We have far better athletes than they do. But they can shoot the ball. Be very tough to win given the importance they put on the game and being an experienced team that knows what the game is about. As for them, I noticed they continue to flop a lot. The offensive flop where a guy acts like he get mugged when there is little or not contact. Pretty pathetic to watch. In a side note it is going to so much fun to watch the portion of the fan base that thinks they are better than everyone else reeling when Doug is gone next year. Crappy coach, poor recruiters of athletes, no All-American to hide the weakness is going to be fun. It makes me smile thinking of Double Douche/Huskerhoopsfan/Creightonfan going through misery. Man would it be sweet to beat them this year when they are actually solid.

    Scouting Miami

Yeah they've been on the road since last Wednesday, so hopefully they are tired and ready to get back to the beach on Wednesday night.

  6. Biggs might have made an argument to break into the starting lineup. Seems like Petteway is a guaranteed starter although I think he would be terrific at providing instant offense coming off the bench, which doesn't mean he wouldn't end up with 25 or more minutes in the end. Just the spark that he would provide at an important time might make that a good role but I doubt it happens. I'll say again before I get jumped on -- I doubt it happens. So, Biggs, Webster, Petteway, Shields, Pitchford. I don't think we can start things off with Rivers and Shields being our two biggest bigs on the floor. Just my opinion. Miami relies heavily on 2 bigs, one is a Pitchford-size guy and the other is a Leslee Smith-size guy, although Pitchford and Smith are bigger than their two bigs respectively. Other than that, and a 5-9 PG, they play guys who are 6-6 to 6-7 all over the floor. So, very similar to us, actually. But with Miami playing zone, it puts a premium on our ability to shoot. So, Biggs enters the starting lineup and Rivers leaves.

  8. CU is certainly better than what they showed in this tournament, but if Nebraska plays well, they'll have a shot Sunday - haven't been able to say that with a straight face for a while. Ultimately, I don't think Nebraska is mature enough yet for a game like this, so a veteran-led CU team likely wins, but the gap is closing in a hurry. On the plus side for CU, San Diego St did beat Marquette by 8 Sunday, so that has to make blue fans feel a little better. With the way Dougie struggled vs GW, blue fans got a taste of what their team may look like offensively in 2014-15 and beyond when they have to rely on others - plus there will be no Wragge & Gibbs. Not pretty.
