When do we play Penn State, Minnesota, Illinois and Rutgers?

I bet those post players are licking their chops.  I sure as hell would be.  Let my teammates chuck up shots while I sit down low all by myself, waiting for the ball to come to me.  That's what Pardon did.  It seems like he scored 18 of his 28 points doing that.  It's an absolute lack of effort.  I'm sorry rebounding is a lack of effort.  Find a player and BOX him out.  If you don't want to do it, you don't play.  It's that simple.

I will say that Northwestern is a lot tougher team than I thought.  They are going to win some games in the Big 10 this year.  Would of been nice to close this one out but we didn't.  Can't dwell though as a team.  Gotta get that W on Saturday.

What a collapse, and it's not like NW is a top 10 team. Not sure where we go from here.

There is always next year? It does not appear this team is making much gains which is a concern. And I don't think Miles or his staff have an answer. Let's hope Miles brings his coffee and can close with Thomas...we need him.

Just so sick of the calls being made at only one end. Moving screen opens up a lane for an easy layup, moving screen fouls out Jacobson, out, charge not called when Fuller is run over, Demps skids 12 feet across the floor is a shot clock violation on the Huskers, ball out of bounds off Morrow when he is shoved in the back, but it is called a foul when Morrow does it to Pardon.

I thought the worst call was when Jacobsen picked up his 4th foul, when Pardon traveled and they called Jacobson for the foul.  Then, on the other end Shields is driving gets hit on the arm by Northwestern players and they call a travel.

I know I'm beating a dead horse, but our post game offensively and defensively is atrocious. How do we have neither. Morrow showed some great things in HS. Pardon looked like the Top 100 player. How do they have a guy like that who is suppose to redshirt, and we haven't had a guy like that since seems like forever?

Northwestern is not that good.  It's going to be a tough year for us.  Our effort has to be worlds better Saturday if we want to win.  We can't watch Indiana drive by us then converge on the ball handler and leave a wide open put back by a player.  Just think a freshmen playing in his 2nd game (that was not a higher rated recruit than Morrow) scores 28 points and 12 rebounds.  Our 2 freshmen score 11 points and 4 rebounds.

Indiana is a really tough matchup for us. We are going to have to play our asses off and have some PBA magic to pull that one off.

That's because he was playing us.  I bet Pardon won't score 28 points and 12 rebounds the rest of the season until he plays us the final game.

Probably a little sour grapes... but that was expected.

I think you might just be overestimating how good we are.  We made the tournament 2 years ago because we played defense and hit some big shots.  This year's team is very poor defensively.  We allowed Northwestern to shoot 50 % from the field.  Maybe I am just frustrated but we allowed a TRUE FRESHMEN post playing in his second game to go off for 28 points and 12 rebounds.  I will say that will be his career game (until he plays us again)

+1. NW is a solid team. But, without their big man not a great team. Surely a team we should beat at home. It's not just our youth...we are lacking in other departments at the moment.

Northwestern has shot well all year.  Them shooting well had to be expected.  That we struggled on D hurt yes, but they hit some big shots.  They could shoot threes all day and something is going in.  We are all frustrated, but to say that Northwestern isn't very good or shouldn't have shot that well is giving them a discredit.  We are not a great team, but we are not a bad team either.  The Big 10 is tough, but no one really scares me to the point where I don't think we can beat them.  Will we have to play better? Yes, but we are not that bad.  We have our deficiencies, thats for sure.

Gosh, I hope you're right. Your general optimism is needed.

I should have rephrased it to say, Northwestern is not good enough to beat us by 9 at home.

I really don't want to look back at Northwestern's conference record at the end of the season and see that we lost by 9 to a 7-11 team (for example). We need to win the close games. Especially when you have a 12-point lead in the 2nd half.
