Glad Kent had the stones to ask coach if they looked at Khiry Thomas (who had a GREAT stat line tonight). Coach said we thought he was going to prep school and were waiting to see how that shook out, and Creighton got him signed. Also got on Patton before anyone even saw him play int he summer. "They've done a good job at that".

AKA...the staff missed the boat. Per Khyri we didn't recruit him. Khyri looks awfully good compare to Miles holding onto the 13th scholarship...once again.

White is at least as good as Khyri, and it sounds like Gill is even better than White. We can't have everyone on our team.

I would take Khyri over Bakari...I would take Khyri over Tai. I would take Khyri over leaving the 13th scholarship open. We had room for him...he was in our backyard and we didnt even recruit him.

Fork over 1.5 million and I'll get right on it! BTW, I don't claim to know how to run a program...nor holding a candle to Miles coaching ability. But, not recruiting a high major talent 50 miles away is a screw up...no?

Doubtful. But he did shut down arguably the best player on the court tonight. I would surely take him over our starting 2 guard at this point in their career.

So that was the difference in the game? We get Thomas and beat the vests :-)

No difference in the actual game. But it sure would have been nice to have him in our program. Not sure if hey would have picked us over CU...but from the sounds of it we didn't even try. And, I think he would have fit in very well with what this staff is trying to do.

Creighton fan here - just wanted to say that you guys have a lot of good tools going forward. White is a really good college player, and is pretty much who we thought we were getting with Huff. It's really just a matter of coaching when it comes to this game. McDermott just seems to gameplan really well for the Nebraska game, and not so well for others (ahem, Loyola and ASU.) Give it some time and you guys will be just fine, especially next year. Watson will be very good and Morrow will be a serviceable 4 man. Anton Gill is also a very good player. It's just one game and I think the Huskers will end up better in the B1G than Creighton will in the Big East. Good luck going forward.

Thanks, you know how things get when you lose and look bad doing it.

Good luck the rest of the way.

Thoughts - I'm not sold on Miles as a coach yet. I'm just not. There are more question marks than answers for him at this point. You take out the '14 run and the picture becomes a lot more clear... and I couldn't help but laugh when he got T'd up. Bad no call on the moving screen, I get it... but still. I have never seen Miles floor a team that looks good on offense, even during said run. Idk what it is.. lack of recruiting shooters, lack of recruiting guys that "know" the game, lack of a big man. AWIII is a legit player but beyond him and Shields (who got shut down) this still looks to be a one dimensional offense. If Webster, Benny, or Watson could knock down threes at a 33% rate you'd be in a much better position. Hammond had moments last night but he doesn't look like  a confident matchup against B1G centers.

Defensively it looks like your guys just got caught in the headlights last night at times. Making mistakes that are unallowable against most any CU team - leaving guys open for shots. Watson took Webster to town a couple times last night, but he also played with the same out-of-control nature that has been maddening to us fans. Khyri Thomas can be invaluable defensively. It will be interesting to see how each team's season pans out - honestly not too high on either at this point. You guys did not play your A or even B game last night, that's for sure. Idk if that'll be taken as a compliment or as flaming, but I'm calling it how i saw it.
