That puts us 12th in the B1G. The next closest B1G teams above us are 83 Northwestern, 70 Minnesota, 65 Illinois and 52 Ohio St.

Last time we were ranked 12th in the preseason, things turned out pretty well. Here's hoping for a reprise of those devlopments. We undoubtedly have better over-all talent now than on that team--but the talent upgrade is mostly young.

274. Rutgers: The football team can be a hideous distraction for only so long. Kadeem Jack and Myles Mack were by far the two most important players ... and they gone.

Not much faith in our program.  Hopefully crap like this can light a bit of a fire under our team...

I acutally have no problem with it.  If you are an outside (or insider) looking at our program and you see that we lost TP, Pitch, Moses, Leslee, can you really blame them?  We have a LOT of unknowns this year and are very young.  Our young guys are going to have to grow up fast.

 

I for one am very excited to see what this group can do this year.  I think as a team we can be a very good defensive unit.  We aren't big, but I think we can cause problems with our length at the wing spots.  The key for us (and every year it seems) is being able to shoot the 3 ball better.

this'll be a strange season, but there are parallels to '13. 3 pointers will be important, but they're going to have to play superb defense and hopefully work transition points off turnovers against better teams to have any sort of a chance to exceed expectations. It's going to be exciting to see this team finally on the court and then watch it develop as parts are moved around until something fits.

I have more confidence in this squad than I did in last year's.  We will see in one month.
