I give Chatelain a lot of grief on this site for his blog/twitter stuff.

However, I think he does excel at long form articles and his Riley stuff on Sunday was an example of that.

True...but do you think (and this is totally based on a totally fictional situation) you'd feel the same way if Creighton had a football program? I'm guessing he'd treat the Husker Football program like he treats the Husker Basketball program if Creighton had a football team.

Oh I don't think he hates the University...I'm sure there are reporters out there that do...but I'm also guessing a lot of what appears to be hate is more to just drum up drama...and feed the fire.  It's like most news anymore...news is dead...it's all opinion.

Dirk does a decent job at human interest stories, which are the only stories of his that I read, although even in the recent Riley write up he couldn't help but take several swipes at Bo. Dirk also has a large following, for now, and thus he writes about what they want to read. He basically follows the mob. When ever Dirk needs to flex his sports knowledge it comes off as childish in both his writing and in his comprehension of the sport he is writing about. Lee pisses me off,  but at least he know sports as does Shatel. Sipple is my personal favorite mostly because he can write the human interest story as well as talk X's and O's.
