Matthew Atewe -> Auburn -> Washington

He did say fam but as an Atewe twitter stalker for a good deal of time now, I can tell you that he uses 'fam' quite often. Pretty much every day to many people. I'm not trying to squelch the rumor that he is a silent commit, but I've been twitter stalking him long enough that he would probably call me fam if I tweeted him directly.

I'm getting really antsy here, I really wish there was some leaked information of how the final in-house visit went yesterday!  If we get Atewe and Sai, I would say this years recruiting class would be a total success on paper in comparison to recent classes!!  I'm stoked for the future!!!

I'd say the recruiting class is a success regardless.  Adding Atewe and Sai would be icing on the cake, IMO.  I'm a bit nervous, though, because my sense is that Sai, particularly, could contribute big next year and there doesn't seem to be a lot of buzz about him visiting or anything.  And, darn it, I LIKE icing on my cake.

I think MA will wait until March 30 to make it known even if he already has made his final decision.

I am wondering whether Matthew has the same interest in us, and out coaching staff has the same interest in Matthew as the dungeon has for Matthew

He is #1 at the center position for nebraska.  You dont send your top two recruiters to a kid in hoops if you dont want him badly.  He also has interest in Nebraska as you can see from his dire interest in the Robin tweet about Tai and him going back and forth with Tai about it and having Fuller and Hawkins jump in the convo as well.  The coaches tell other recruits who they want so I doubt theyd all be jumping in if he wasnt.

So, did we get the last in-home?  If so, that's good for us.  C'mon, Matt, be a Husker.  And then there's only one more kid I'd like to see us get.

Oh and, Kamdy, seems our old friend Gavin Schilling committed to Michigan State.  He was down to MSU, Minnesota, UCLA and I think Seton Hall or Villanova.  Kinda ironic funny that two of his possible choices fired their coaches within the last week.  Michigan State almost wins that one be default.

BR tweeted Atewe is down to Nebraska and Auburn fwiw.

According to Brian Rosenthal on Twitter, Nebraska's visit with Atewe went "very, very well." Miles and Harriman were in home for 2 1/2 hours last night, and he's now down to Nebraska and Auburn. Charlotte and Nevada have been eliminated.

You two must be on twitter alert....the same minute...but Hooper types more so the KandyMan wins this race. Thanks for the good news.

yes Nebraska was Monday, Auburn Sunday.  I think he was already down to these two for awhile but its nice to finally see it.  Again I am using many variable to say he is N.

As for Gavin I just didnt see him as that high of a player this summer.  His body DEFINITELY is there but his game was not.  Of course I only got to see a couple games where they played uninspired basketball and couldnt even win a tournament they were the easy favorites in.  He may grow into a solid player with some time but MSU has some bigs already in line that he can learn behind.  Oh the luxuries.

The clue that he was down to Auburn and Nebraska even before last weekend was that he scheduled specific visits for those two, with a possible third visit coming from between Charlotte and Nevada. I had a feeling that third visit wasn't going to happen.

I really like our chances here. I was worried about Charlotte, because they were a clear alternative to Nebraska. They're almost the opposite of NU in many ways: small city vs. large city, large minority population vs. small minority population, mid-major conference vs. major conference, small fish/big pond vs. big fish/small pond, etc.

Auburn, IMO, doesn't stack up well at all against Nebraska here, and they're already bringing in three big men in their 2013 recruiting class. I don't see how we lose this one.

March 30 or Easter Sunday could be a very big day for NU basketball.

Matthew says yes and the women get to the elite 8.

And Sai out of no where commits as well!! Happy Easter to US! haha!

I'd be surprised if Sai commits anywhere without taking visits. I have to believe we hear about a Tummala official soon.

I like our chances against Auburn too! Nevada was the team that scared me. He seemed to be really intrigued by them! Can't wait until Sunday when he states his desire to right this ship and lend his hand in turning Nebraskaball into a national basketball powerhouse! :)
