Apparently Jim thought he was "promised" a position at Nebraska. When Nebraska called him to let him know the position was filled, he said he was pulling Kaylee from the program. I have no idea if there is any truth to this, but it was a new spin on the situation I hadn't heard. Hopefully this isn't the case; I'd rather not Nebraska offer a job to a dude like this. Quote

Parents got pissed because the kids are minors and shouldn't have their names released. Threatened to sue. Then three players quit because of mistreatment in practice. Again, this is all hearsay. That's a good one ! Dad ...a hallucinating spin BS story to cover his own ego. He has no experience coaching at a major institution....no way he was getting a job at NU, or Yori promising something like that. He could have dreamed he'd get a job. Yori isn't that dumb...she's too experienced....and doesn't promise anyone anything.....especially a dad.....with a new freshmen no less, that hasn't proved she can compete at any position. And I didn't see major colleges beating down dads door to hire him, after the Page girls left. And...he's proven he can't run a HS team. Quote

whoopdeedoo Posted February 19, 2015 Report Posted February 19, 2015 I like this tweet. almost everyone has coach/parent stories. while coach paige is responsible for his actions, i wondered if there wasn't some involvement from parents, too. as far as an "available job" at nebraska. i could see where there might have been a position discussed between coach yori and the father. i just believe it may have went along the lines of "yes, there is a position available and you can fill out the necessary paperwork and we will consider it along with the other applicants." i just can't believe anybody promised anybody anything---IF it even came up. wow. sounds like a pretty big mess.
