BYU-UConn game was better than I expected.  Great effort by BYU keeping it close for 25 minutes, even had a 1 point lead in the second half.

Good crowd; announced just over 9500.  Should bode well for future events at PBA.

Enjoyed seeing Jess Shepard adorned with her Husker gear, watching the second game with her brother who plays for Midland.  With about 10 minutes left in the A & M-DePaul game, she came over and sat by Coach Yori for the rest of the game.  They had an animated chat; it was good to see that.

9585 to be exact. Pretty cool hearing the Big Red chant at the start of the game.  I don't ever remember having fans in the second tier. I thought the Huskers looked better than either A&M and DePaul. Took me until half time to finally get a program. Unbelievable that they only had one cash register at the little souvenirs shop in the lobby where the line was like 3 miles long.

Saw what they meant when they say obnoxious UCONN fan. One UConn husky fan wanted to fight a elderly Husker fan for standing up blocking his view ..........at halftime no less.

We had fans in the second tier for the UCLA game but never after that game. Sounds like in the future 1st/2nd rounds will be hosted by everyone who is seeded 1-4, assuming no conflicts (saw in article, maybe LJS?). Crowd this weekend might help us sometime down the road if we are sitting on that 4 seed line and committee wants to slide us down a seed.  But of course, we will be safely in the 1-3 seed lines in the future, so no need to worry ;)

UConn fans are obnoxious.  I guess you can be with 8 National Championships.

They certainly do have a bit of arrogance about them.  But they did think the arena was awesome.

Roll call for Monday night.

Mrs. HB and I will be there, after some pregame boozing and dining in the Railyard. I'll be cheering for the underdog.

Guy named Ricky from Omaha, trolls over on the comments of the LJS. He says that there is no way that there was 9,585 at the game. He says that we,UNL padded the stats and there was only about 2,000 there. He trolls hard on anything Husker.

It is funny to see others trying to reason with him. I just keep typing 9,585 any time he posts.

That guy must be an absolute moron. If he was anything other than a disgusting troll, he would have come up with a more believable number. 2000 is a joke; I was there. No way there was less than 8000 at the first game. Sitting there, I would have guessed 9,000. So this guy wasn't there, and if he was, he can't count.

Oh he is a troll. He is just funny to read becuase he is sooooooo out there. He roots against any of the Husker teams that have coaches that have coaches that Dr. Tom hired. I jus t keep telling him 9,5585.

Just something to do.

Ricky from Omaha?  Is that Ricky Fulton, who posts a number of different places?  Ricky Fulton is a postman from Omaha and he's obnoxious as all hell.  And, periodically, one of his obnoxious letters to the editor will appear in one of the state's paper papers.  A recent news story (can't recall what it was about but I think he baited some political candidate into tangling with him) called him a "social media gadfly."  If a gadfly is an annoying pest, then the description is apt.

Yes...Norm that's who he is.

Whoa, Silverback, your description sounds like my son-in-law!  Hmmmmm....  Kid hates TO and everything Nebraska.  Loves Creighton and Michigan State.

Wow, Chode, my condolences. Hating TO and Nebraska is Un-American among other things. I may print this and show it to my in-laws, to help them understand I many not be the worst son-in-law after all. :)

It makes for some uncomfortable get-togethers, especially since he is raising his kids the same way!

Oh man, it keeps getting worse!    Wish I could help--a hug, a case of beer, whatever.  ;)

I still have that ahead of me.  I like to think I could handle a lot of things, but being wrong  on TO and the Huskers (OK, and a certain political point of view) would be VERY difficult to handle.
