Actually, the rule is you can't play someone you've played twice or more until the Sweet 16. There have been a few exceptions like for when the Big East got an absurd number of teams in a couple of years ago, it was unavoidable.

No, not if they receive a 3 seed as projected.  That would make the Huskers a 14 seed, which will not happen.  Now, if the Huskers are an 11 seed, and they get past the 6 seed team, there could be a match-up with Creighton in the 2nd (traditional) now technically known as the 3rd Round.

 

The winner of that game would go to the Sweet 16, which would be uncharted territory for either program.

I'd rather imagine a scenario where we go deep in the tournament ... after we kicked their ass earlier on.  That's the scenario I'm going to imagine if I'm going to go to the trouble of imagining something.
