PimpMario Posted February 27, 2014 Report Posted February 27, 2014 I would personally like to live by Petteway. Shake off this game and come back strong, we need you Big Man in the next 3 games! Quote
HuskerFever Posted February 27, 2014 Report Posted February 27, 2014 Props to Illinois. That said, you gotta think a whole week off really helped them focus. Quote
doc1394 Posted February 27, 2014 Report Posted February 27, 2014 Don't let the man practice until shoot-around Saturday. Let him rest his back Quote
AuroranHusker Posted February 27, 2014 Report Posted February 27, 2014 Man, did Terran look like a lost puppy out there (must be hurt or something)... hopefully TP has more junkyard dawg in him by Saturday (and be at full strength in order to get better lift on his shots). Quote
GoBigRed Posted February 27, 2014 Report Posted February 27, 2014 Petteway will take his performance harder than all of us combined. Guaranteed. My only worry is that he is in the gym shooting at 3 a.m. when they get back when he clearly needs to rest. hhcmatt, HuskerActuary and royalfan 3 Quote
KZRider Posted February 27, 2014 Report Posted February 27, 2014 I am proud to have him on our team every day. Players have off days. This was one for him but I am confident he'll be back stronger than ever. hhcmatt 1 Quote
hhcmatt Posted February 27, 2014 Report Posted February 27, 2014 I would personally like to live by Petteway. It's pretty easy to cheer for things when it's going your way. If Petteway is 0-10 I still want him shooting out there. Silverbacked1 1 Quote
hskr4life Posted February 27, 2014 Report Posted February 27, 2014 Yep... If you saw how quickly he reeled off those 5 points, all we needed was one more shot to fall. Quote
ajb5856 Posted February 27, 2014 Report Posted February 27, 2014 I know we had Benny/Rivers/Smith step up tonight to fill some of the scoring void. Even Tai made a 3. But everything was difficult tonight. One thing I did notice was the offense became a little stagnant at times. It was like everybody was just standing around waiting for Petteway to do something and it just wasn't happening tonight. Quote
PimpMario Posted February 27, 2014 Author Report Posted February 27, 2014 When Pitchford, Sheilds, Ray and Petteway all have bad nights scoring it is going to be a long night for us. Quote
huskerbaseball13 Posted February 27, 2014 Report Posted February 27, 2014 When Pitchford, Sheilds, Ray and Petteway all have bad nights scoring it is going to be a long night for us. As it would for most teams....how many teams can pull out W's if their top 3 scorers struggle to score? Either way I don't really agree with Live by and Die by Petteway. We were in that game for the majority of the time...if one other player stepped up we may very well have won. Credit to Illinois for playing D but we also looked lethargic on offense and took some incredibly stupid shots. Quote
