All the technicals?

Son was sending me updates as I had dinner plans last night during the game.  What caused all of the technical fouls to be called?

My impression is that PSU was getting technical fouls because they were upset at the ridiculous imbalance in the number of free throws awarded to Nebraska, and the Nittany Lions felt that they were getting a raw deal from the officials.

 

Which goes to show the class of the Huskers in not getting those kinds of technical, because this happens to us with regularity, not because of any conspiracy, but because there are "reputation" "momentum" and "star" calls made in any league, and without those factors in our favor historically, I often notice other teams in the bonus for a number of game minutes before the Huskers. Just the other night, even the announcers were commenting that Nebraska had been called for 7 fouls and MSU 0 before a rush of catch up fouls were called.

It was a badly officiated game but some of the fouls called on Nebraska were absurd. Chambers brought it on himself he was a complete idiot last night.

He slammed the scoters table and went after the replay team. He went ape nuts in every foul called, he had to be physically restrained twice in his technical and just showed poor body language for most if the night. Made Bo look like a saint honestly. I have zero issue with showing passion and intensity just really not sure why he was so upset lol

It was tough to meet Miles' noise expectations with the EXTREME lack of flow in the game, thanks to the officials.

 

Anyone catch his postgame? Said something to the tune of "I felt bad for our fans! At Creighton, I know where the fans would've been... but ours were stuck in their seats watching whistles."

I think he was hinting at it would be nice to grab a cold one to get away from the poor officials and flow if the game caused by them. I could have used a few beers

I remember sitting at the top of the Bob the fist year Nebraska was in the Big 10 and Penn State came to town.  I could hear Chambers clear as day all the way up there.  The guy is a screamer.

 

I do find it commical that there are several college basketball coaches (even college football coaches too) that are worse than Pelini, but it is never brought up in broadcasts or other media stories like it is for Bo.

I think the Taylor and Rivers double technical at the end was them attempting to control the mess they made.  Didn't really see the tangle up.

1: #10 shoving TP

2: Chambers standing in the middle of the court screaming F bombs

3: double technical between Rivers and #10 which I don't think anyone really knows what happened.

4: #43 for saying/doing something to Pitchford I believe. May have been to the ref, but Walter seemed to take a lot of the credit for that one.

Pushed wrong button, tried to up arrow you. Totally correct. I think that 43 was trying to bait Terran into something. When Terran came to the line Walt gave him a big two thumbs up.

Some of Penn States problems is that I haven't such any unathletic team in a long time. They have some bigs that I don't think can even shoot. I know 32 about broke the back board once, and 5 hitting Walt was because he couldn't even run over and make a good attempt at the ball without falling. Kind of looked like the Y during the "black sock" pick up games.
