Do you think in the worst case senerino that Hirsch would become the fourth starter.

My guess is Hohensee would be the fourth starter.  I think Hirsch has been too valuable out of the pen this year.  Getting excited for the tournament...I won't be able to attend tomorrow's game and my office windows overlook TD Ameritrade so it will be torture for me.
Agree. Colton Howell would probably be next in line. Unless all the sudden Burkamper gets out of the doghouse and gets a try.
I like the Greco kid before Hoensee or Howell, Howell has good stuff but I'm looking at maturity and tanit is where Greco has it and the other two don't IMHO. Greco has went 4 to 5 Innings and is just crafty enough to stay in a game.

I think Greco would probably be the best option...but you have to get to that point to even worry about it so I would hope we use Greco out of the pen if we need him.  If we don't have to burn him some innings then I think he would be our best option.

I believe they will keep Greco in the pen. And as 13 says, he will likely be used too much in relief during the early games to start a game 4.

What a comeback! Bullpen did an amazing job to put gooseggs after Sinclair had a rough inning.  It sounded like the crowd was rocking in the 9th.

I don't remember what year it was but it was DVH second or third year, when they came through the losers bracket and DVH was pulling guys out the pen that hadn't pitched much to make it to the championship round. That is what today reminded me of lights out from the pen today. I was telling a coworker whose was working with me about the next pitcher that was coming in and how they would get lit up guess I was wrong.

Just got home; 12 hour day in Omaha.  An epic finish!  Husker fans going nuts, high-fiving total strangers, place was LOUD!  One of the better Husker days ever.  Crowded bars afterward reliving it.   What a day.  I'm heading back tomorrow, of course.

It was probably Bublitz.  I don't think the coaches were tossing in the towel at that point but I think they were being smart and thinking about conserving some pitching if we had to come out of the losers bracket.  Looks like rain all day today.....will be interesting to see what the Big 10 does if they can't get any games in.

I'd assume the B1G Network will continue to televise football games

Looks like the weather cleared up..game on, although from my view in the office you would think a game isn't being played as there is barely anyone there.  I believe this will be the last non-televised game by the Big Ten.

Bummer with a 7 inning gem. Getting great pitching from the staff, well I guess Sinclair struggled but other than that this is how you win tournaments. Also some timely hitting. Now just stop kicking the ball around and we will be raising a torphy Sunday.

If we win the whole thing, and we some how jump a couple of places in the polls can we get a top 16 seed? We are 20 and 23 in a couple of them so anything could happen couldn't it.

Indiana still the favorite by far, especially with our Friday night guy out. But a good season regardless. Hope to make some noise in the regional.

i am calling it now. We win tomorrow morning and Sunday DeLeon wakes up with no pain and takes the bump and throws a complete game.

Wouldn't that be about as graet as could be? :)

Hope your right but I thought I heard no Deleon this weekend.
