Wish they gave one ounce of the same consideration to the food served in the joint.

This X1,000,000. For what they charge, you would think you are getting NY Strip Steak. My son and I ate there at the first game we went to and he told me that next time, we should eat somewhere before we go.

lol...but from what I've heard on the board...the buffet for the people that have the $$$ to pay for the box seats is pretty good. Guess that is where they are putting all the time to getting correct.

I sit in the club seats and the buffet isn't actually very good. For $26 you get to eat all the hot dogs, burgers and some sides. The side sides are usually decent. You can also get cookies. They serve some of the same food they do at the concession stands you just get as much as you want.

Pretty good for the Michigan game. Carved turkey and prime rib!

I've heard that we are already replacing the floor... But it's under warranty so the company is fixing it for free. Can anyone confirm or deny this? Thought it was strange, we've had the court for 3-4 months and they already have to replace it.

Quite strange. But even before the first game, I think at that preseason scrimmage, there were areas that looked as if the top layer was "peeling". Almost like the finish is worn off. I wonder if this is how it came to us and didn't happen as a result of the limited use it's had so far. Since it's obviously a custom floor there probably wasn't time to redo it and get us another one in time so we were forced to roll with this one to start off.

Come to Nebraska where you beat a top 10 team and sit and clap in your seats.

OSU wasn't any place close to top 10.

They are barely still top 25.

Not what I meant... Never mentioned OSU.. Was saying in general if this happens...

This post was forwarded to me so I signed up to join the conversation. I'm not looking to post anonymously. This is Tom Lorenz, General Manager of Pinnacle Bank Arena. The spokespersons for the arena are myself and my Assistant General Manager and neither one of us made any official or unofficial statements about the court storming. No media talked to us about this topic.

I'm not going to use this forum to make an official statement other than to say we celebrated the win over OSU with as much excitement and enthusiasm as the students and other fans. There are several issues to address regarding "court storming". We discussed the possibility of that successful outcome before the game and we prepared for the exact scenario that unfolded at the end of the game. Any decisions regarding future access to the court post game will involve a lengthy discussion that will take in to consideration all of the components associated with "court storming" and that discussion will include University of Nebraska Athletic Department officials. The event is UNL's event, the floor is the property of the City of Lincoln / West Haymarket Joint Public Agency.

Thanks to all of you for your passion about Men's and Women's Husker Basketball. We share that passion and we will consider that component as we make good decisions going forward. No decision has been made about future court storming's but there clearly are issues to consider that have significant impact that would provide reasoning for continuing and stopping the practice into the future. We will weigh those issues carefully.

This is true. The shaded areas on the floor have been peeling since day one and the company that produced it came in to look at it and was embarrassed by what was happening. They are replacing sometime in the next few weeks.

How could they stop it? They going to issue citations for 500 people? Strength in numbers

Tim won't let that fly

I updated the subject line on this one just in case people are missing out on what has happened in this thread.

Well then, how about the issue of getting me a key to your PBA liquor cabinet?

Same here PM. Glad I didn't she'll out the money for the prepaid buffet. It looks to be a slight upgrade over a grade school cafeteria...

Since we have Tom's ears... What's the deal with closing the concessions down so early?

The concessions are closing down at the 10:00 minute mark of second half and Patty the Popcorn lady is in the railyard getting drinks by the 8:00 minute mark.

Thanks for stopping by Tom...Seriously. Much appreciated!

NOT/OT....thanks for the post and keeping us in the loop. Now I just hope that the city decides what to do with Pershing and make an special deal with some of the various local event that happen inside Pershing that from what I heard cannot afford the Arena. This was brought up in a discussion I had today with some people regarding the ZZ Top concert that is charging arena prices for Pershing. The concert and the final Men's game occurs the same day.
