You gotta point there, 49r.  I mean, I like La Marseillaise as much as the next guy, but don't lift it to come up with a melody for an Alma Mater for Nebraska.

And if you do lift it, FOR GAWD'S SAKE DON'T HAVE ROBERT KNOLL WRITE THE LYRICS.

I mean, that should be as elementary of a notion as not bringing the Shim Shams back to the Devaney for halftime.

I would imagine you were humming it to yourself as you were eating your Coq Au Vin, eh?  VIVE LA FRANCE!

Read the article again.  It comes across as it started as a promotional thing and they've discussed using it further.

Also, if Boehm got a flood of emails saying it's a terrible idea, he'd pay attention to that.  That sort of thing has gotten their attention in the past.

This is not a generational thing. I'm in my 40s and like Bon Jovi as a band. However, this song is cheesy and the video is cheesy. It's awful and has no place in the new arena. I let Boehm know my opinion.

I got a nice note back from Marc. It's clear that those who don't like the video haven't made their opinion known.

Thanks for your note and thoughts.  A little surprising, since we have been flooded with positive comments about the concept and video.   We have not received one negative comment, until now.  We more than likely will use the video in some capacity, but we have other ideas planned. I truly think at the end of the day, you’ll enjoy what we’ve put together for the home opener.  As you know, music is very subjective and it does require a balancing act. We really appreciate your suggestion and thoughts.  Take care and hope to meet you soon-  Marc

Has Marc ever heard of HHC? Seems a bit disingenuous for the head of basketball operations not to check the site out from time to time just to get a feel of true fans' pulses.

I'd be shocked if he hasn't but I don't expect that he, himself, monitors it.  I'm sure someone in the hoops offices keeps tabs on what happens here.

What section and rows are the obstructed views in? First few rows of 200 level? First few rows of 300 level?

The only "obstructed" seats that I'm aware of are the seats directly behind the stairs opening in the second and third decks. So if you got unlucky and got seated in the couple seats that happen to be right behind the opening you will be partially looking through the railing with the cable wires running through the railing. It's the thing that prevents people from falling off the cliff.

The rail that runs along the rim of the 200 and 300 levels will impede the views of nearly all people in the first row.  In the 200 level, it shouldn't impact anyone beyond that.  I'm in row 2 of the 200 level, on an aisle and I didn't have any trouble.

This was my view from where my dad and I are sitting this season

I still do not understand why they can't use plexiglass like they did at Hawks Field...while I would prefer nothing in my way, I understand why they need a barrier...and as somebody that had to look through the plexiglass at Hawks...you can get used to it...the black bar, I am guessing, not so much.
