ajb5856 Posted September 18, 2013 Report Posted September 18, 2013 Another Aussie stud. High majors looking at him. Sounds like he's just as good, if not better than Bolden and he could be ours to lose. Harriman is an absolute rock star. Pinder is a 6-8 forward and he came over from Australia and is down at Sunrise in Kansas. Harriman has a strong connection with the coach at Sunrise Christian Academy and it was a collaboration to put Pinder there. The Sunrise coach said that if it wasn't for Nebraska, Pinder wouldn't be there. We have the hook up with Harriman on board. This is from Robin: http://nebraska.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1550787 He also says Miles is headed out to Nevada this week to visit Bolden. trickey 1 Quote

HB Posted September 18, 2013 Report Posted September 18, 2013 Great story. I have to think things are going well enough with our remaining 2014 targets that we felt comfortable getting the message to Wacker to go ahead and accept an offer elsewhere. It's all pretty amazing. Fun ride. Quote
Norm Peterson Posted September 18, 2013 Report Posted September 18, 2013 I'm not sure this bodes particularly well for a couple of current Huskers. But it appears to bode pretty darn well for the future of the program, by golly. Silverbacked1 1 Quote

ShortDust Posted September 18, 2013 Report Posted September 18, 2013 We need to do everything to keep Harriman on board! Our assistants will help transform this program! Coach Harriman will be a HC before we know it. Now for Pinder, he looks to be the athletic guy that we want. I say we still go full board for both bolden and the new prospect Pinder. We will see what happens with Robinson tomorrow. Boy I am excited to see what happens in the next few weeks! Quote

What does the article state that indicates he may be better than Bolden? At least offer-wise, Bolden clearly has better offers it seems. Quote

He's only been in the states for a couple weeks and not a lot of people have seen him play. Lourawls Nairn is playing at Sunrise as well and when the high major elite coaches come in to see Lourawls, their "jaws drop" after they see Pinder. Robin made a comment (not in the article) that there's not much separating Bolden and Pinder and that its just that not tooany have seen Pinder play. Quote

TheKamdyMan Posted September 18, 2013 Report Posted September 18, 2013 From what I've read online about Keanu is he is very raw in his game but a freak athlete. Bolden is already a very polished player in shooting, ball handling, and scoring. I think there's a reason though that Bolden has the offer because you already know how he can play at a high level. ShortDust Posted September 18, 2013 Report Posted September 18, 2013 Helll, lets take the two Aussies, Robinson, and oh yea that Hammond guy we always keep forgetting! I wouldn't mind getting two out of the 3 uncommitted guys to add with Hammond! Love this bright future! Wacker was an after thought if we can possibly have a chance at these two. Also with Pinder, get Tai after him since they know each other. Quote
The Coach Posted September 18, 2013 Report Posted September 18, 2013 Yeah let's just take both Pinder and Bolden so we don't have to worry about who is better. These 2 plus Elbert and Hammond might give me a heart attack. Hooper 1 Quote
Norm Peterson Posted September 18, 2013 Report Posted September 18, 2013 If we get Robinson I will be happy. If I had my pick of one of the Aussies on top of that, I'd take the guy who is the better shooter. Quote
TheKamdyMan Posted September 18, 2013 Report Posted September 18, 2013 Robin said he talked to the midwest Rivals basketball analyst that saw him this summer and he says hes not too bad. Thinks hes a 3 star with potential to be a bubble 150 depending on his play here. Quote
TheKamdyMan Posted September 18, 2013 Report Posted September 18, 2013 draft express has him listed as the #61 international player for the 1995 born class. This doesnt include foreign players that come to the US like Simmons or Bolden. Dante Exum is #1 on the list and is rumored to be a lean to Indiana. Quote
lang Posted September 19, 2013 Report Posted September 19, 2013 "Lourawls" Nairn ...that's pretty sweet. Man just think I coulda named one of my boys "Vanmorrison". That's going to bug me now. Quote
Husker4Life Posted September 19, 2013 Report Posted September 19, 2013 No one here in Wichita calls him Lourawls. He is known as Tum Tum Nairn. Quote

Norm Peterson Posted September 19, 2013 Report Posted September 19, 2013 Lost to Africa, huh? Well, I found some video of the tilt between Australia and Africa with both our boys, Pinder (#77 in blue) and Bolden (#93 in blue). I was actually impressed with #69 from team Africa, Michael Nzei. I looked him up and, according to Rivals anyway, he's a 3 star playing prep ball in New York. Says he has offers from Hofstra, Iona, ODU, St. Josephs and .... Iowa. Hmmm. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8kjCZle82NU Quote
