Nebrasketballer Posted May 22, 2013 Author Report Posted May 22, 2013 Andrew Flemming 6'5", 200 lbs, Shooting Guard Nashville, TN AAU: St Louis Eagles http://rivals.yahoo.com/nebraska/basketball/recruiting/player-Andrew-Fleming-132139 Quote
TheKamdyMan Posted May 22, 2013 Report Posted May 22, 2013 The article speaks highly of Nebraska considering they havent offered and he already holds them from Florida, Vandy, and Auburn. Also with a lot of other big schools on the verge with NU about to offer he will be a highly rated player for the 2015 class. My guess would be a 70-90 Rivals 4 star type player. Im sure Norm will rag on his shooting though because I know he hates the outward elbow motion. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U4MEil5ZlGk Nebrasketballer 1 Quote
kldm64 Posted May 23, 2013 Report Posted May 23, 2013 Sounds like NU is very interested in this kid and he is interested in NU. Alot can happen between now and 2015 but gotta love Miles and staff for their efforts in getting in on kids early and battling other big name schools to land one of these players. I think it's just a matter of time. http://nebraska.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1508366 Nebrasketballer 1 Quote
Nebrasketballer Posted June 18, 2013 Author Report Posted June 18, 2013 https://twitter.com/NextUpRecruits/status/347026976684531712 Also, Jojo Anderson retweeted this tweet. Doesn't necessarily mean anything, just thought it was worth noting... Norm Peterson 1 Quote
Norm Peterson Posted June 18, 2013 Report Posted June 18, 2013 This is a game from just this past season when Andrew was a sophomore. It's a full game tape and it didn't take long to see the kid do something. I scrolled past the warmups and only watched the first 20 seconds of the game. Andrew jumped center (lost the tip -- PERFECT for Nebraska) and on his team's first offensive possession, they reversed the ball, he caught the pass about 24 feet out, measured, no defender right out on him challenging him, launched the shot and drilled it. NBA range. A little unorthodox on his technique. But he's just a soph going into his junior year of HS. Good sized kid for that age. Probably not done growing and he's listed as 6'5" and 200#? That's Nick Fuller two years older. Does this kid have a lot of hair on his legs? (By the way, he's #22 in the dark uni) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=riFE-ZU6300 Nebrasketballer 1 Quote
Norm Peterson Posted June 18, 2013 Report Posted June 18, 2013 According to Rivals, besides us, he also has offers from Auburn, Florida and Vandy. That's a pretty eye-popping offer list for a kid who just finished 10th grade. Kamdy, when he gets ranked, you think he'll be a what star? Quote

LOL like I said above you'd make a comment at some point about his shooting style. Based on initial video I figured he'd be a 4* in the 70-90 range. Based on offers and film that seems like a solid starting point for him with a bunch of time to change. Obviously Rivals has their top 50 already out so it does help me give that range. ajb5856 Posted June 18, 2013 Report Posted June 18, 2013 @Andrew22Fleming: Had a great conversation with Coach Tim Miles this morning. Thankful for my 5th offer from Nebraska! #Blessed #HardWorkPaysOff Norm Peterson 1 Quote

Norm Peterson Posted June 18, 2013 Report Posted June 18, 2013 I sense a breakthrough class in 2015. There's just getting to be too much buzz. More, a year-and-a-half out than I have ever seen before. EVER. So long as we can show some progress in year 2, I think that 2015 class might end up shocking some people. We're building a list of quality recruits who are actually talking to us. Buckle up. This could be an interesting ride. Nebrasketballer 1 Quote
Nebrasketballer Posted June 19, 2013 Author Report Posted June 19, 2013 "A native of Jacksonville, Fla., Fleming also trains in both Nashville and Houston, Texas, during the offseason. Through his training in Houston with former NBA player and coach John Lucas and Nebraska native Adam Barnes, Fleming has played with other Husker recruits such as JoJo Anderson, Khadeem Lattin and others." http://nebraska.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1517117 Norm Peterson 1 Quote
Norm Peterson Posted June 19, 2013 Report Posted June 19, 2013 That explains why the retweet from JoJo. Quote
NUdiehard Posted June 19, 2013 Report Posted June 19, 2013 Someone should start a thread specifically designed to keep track of all the current recruits considering NU that are linked to Barnes. Norm??? Quote
Norm Peterson Posted June 19, 2013 Report Posted June 19, 2013 I don't think that takes a whole thread. Looks like it would be Jojo, this Fleming kid, Gilmore and the Janacek kid. There may be others but those are the ones I think I've seen. Quote

HuskerCager Posted May 12, 2014 Report Posted May 12, 2014 This is the kind of thing that needs to happen here. A top 150 recruit from this class that walks into Lincoln, is blown away, and commits on the spot. If it's happening in Iowa City, why can't it happen in Lincoln? It's got to happen sometime. I think.
