Also making an unofficial visit to #Nebrasketball with Gilmore and Anderson is 2016 Houston SG Hunter Janacek.

It will be interesting to read their reactions via twitter following the combined visit.  Hope it's a positive experience for the threesome.

"The hardest (going after him) is Nebraska, Texas A&M and Oklahoma State," he said. "I've been on and off with Baylor, Texas, Houston and Creighton."

Looks like a solid list of suitors, hopefully Miles & Co. can reel him in...

According to what I saw on Rivals, it looks like we're his only offer right now.  Am I missing something?

His film is honestly not all that impressive.  I wonder if this is a commitable offer or a contingent offer.  Considering how few spots we have open for 2014, and given how many offers we've made, I'd honestly be a little disappointed if this is who we end up landing.

He is the class of 2016 so he is a looooooong way off from being 100% what we are looking at.

They switched gears on you, Silver.  They went from talking '14 Leon Gilmore to '16 Hunter Janacek.  And I was back to taking about '14 Leon Gilmore, not the '16 kid.

And after all the '14 offers we've made, I'm kind of at a loss with this news.

According to Rivals, this kid doesn't have any other offers.  I see some websites list him as a SG/SF.  According to stats I saw on one of his highlight vids, he shot 25% while averaging 13.7 ppg and 6.6 rpg.  Rivals has him as a PF but they don't list his weight.  He's variously listed at 6'6" or 6'7".

That just doesn't sound like the size to play PF or the shooting ability to be a SG/SF.

Can anyone shed any light?

247 has him with offers from Creighton, Arkansas, Houston, La Tech, and NU.

247 has him #80 overall in the nation and his composite from the various services is #214.  Hmmmm.

Someone is way off here.  To have one service rank you 80th and still have a composite outside the top 200, the others must be much lower.  I mean if having an 80 only pulls your composite up to 214, whoa, what would it be without the 80?

I hate to be tepid in my enthusiasm for anything Husker hoops related, but this kid doesn't exactly blow you away, either in terms of his offers or his highlights.  And we're just at the beginning of June with another major evaluation period only a month away and a new assistant coach on the way who hopefully can help us with some recruiting.  I'm not sure I understand this offer.  Is this to get us in a stronger position with Jojo Anderson?  Maybe there's something happening that hasn't been reported yet where he's blowing up on the summer circuit or something.  I guess I'll just wait and see.
