Last game at Devaney/All-Devaney team?

You would think Minnesota would be a hotter ticket than normal, but I don't get the feeling it's going to come close to selling out.  Am I right?  Should be some nice tributes, will the all-Devaney team be there?

I would think if they can be they will be.

Nice article in the LJS this morning on this subject. I am proud to say that I was in attendance at every one of the men's games the LJS picked as the best ones. If anyone is interested, this is Jimmy's list of all time favorite (not best) players. 1. Jack Moore 2. Curtis Moore, 3. Clifford Scales 4. Andre Smith 5. Bill Jackman.

I totally agree on Scales. He was my favorite player when I was at the university.

Saw Curtis Moore Dunk on Barry Stevens (ISU) in the first game I ever attended at the Devaney. Moore was listed @ 6'4" but played WAY above the rim, certainly a fan favorite.

My All-Devaney team would have to include Hoppen, Pike, Lue, Hamilton or Andre Smith and probably Strickland or Jack Moore.

 

Can you imagine if Andre had a Dave Hoppen to play alongside of?  Andre would have been a punishing PF.

 

I got to meet Andre going to Doc's practices.  He must still live in the area and he obviously maintains a keen interest in Nebraska basketball.  It's sooo cool that a player I used to cheer on still cheers for the team I remain a fan of.  You feel like your loyalty is rewarded when the players continue to support the program after their careers have ended.

LJS had first team of Hamilton, Lue, Pike, Hoppen and Andre Smith.  I am going on record (again) to simply remind people that our guard corp over the years were pretty darn good.  Banks, Moore, Lue, Webster...oops, got ahead of myself a bit there
