Where you surprised that Dani was named the HC? I told my wife when was an assistant @ dear ole NU that she would be the next HC @ dear ole NU.

Not really, I heard that rumor.  What surprised me was that it occurred now; not at the end of next season.

The surprising part is that Cook had previously signed a 5-year extension just last year. I guess that was more for recruiting purposes. I didn't even realize he was 68.

 

The fact it was Dani probably wouldn't surprise anyone, maybe Jordan Larson.... that was the one dynamic that is of curiosity.

With no head coaching experience, Larson would have been a terrible choice in my opinion.
