Lunardi finally has us in as Last 4 In

 

Yet every metrics has as the best 10 seed or better (37th) and our RPI has us as a 5 seed

 

RPI - 20th = 5 seed

SOR - 24th = 6 seed

KPI -  27th = 7 seed

Kenpom - 28th = 7 seed

NET - 33rd = 9 seed

BPI - 37th = 10 seed

 

Yet Lunardi has us barely in... if I saw him in real life I'd kick him in the balls for his bias

Lunardi isn't even good at what he does; unfortunately he has a big platform. 

 

Look at the 20-40 teams in the current BartTorvik rankings, compared to where Lunardi seeds them. Pretty typical.

No, between Monday and today we had dropped back to 32 because of other teams moving up. So we moved up from 32 to 29 today.

Could have a rough patch here in these next 4 games but need to stay the course. Now I'm circling Jan. 30 vs. Illinois. They're #5 in the NET right now and should be right around there when they come to Lincoln.

7 seed = considered a 25-28 ranked team. I think that's about right at this time. Of course I'm biased and would prefer we be in the 6 range right now. But either way the fraud Lunardi can pound sand. He'll probably bump us up from his second #10 seed to his first #10 seed.

Wow, if I counted correctly there are only 4 ACC teams in that top 40 and only 1 in top 20.  My oh my how the strength of the ACC has eroded in the last 5 to 10 years.

 

One benefit is that, living in North Carolina fairly close to the former hotbed of college hoops royalty, I don't have to listen to all the Tar Hole and Blue Devil homers blather on about how great they are all the time.

ESPN power index has us #22, the second highest 6 seed. Right behind Wisconsin.
