Next year Amy will have a good set of guards with these three incoming freshmen added to the veterans Weidner, Krull, Moriarity, Hake and Nissley.

You are a much more "glass half full" guy than me.  I only see Prince, Nissley, and a healthy Weidner as "potential" BIG caliber guards. Hake has shown improved play and will provide needed depth. Perhaps Williams will too.   I see Hargrove, Krull, and Moriarity more in the 3 position. I hope you are right. I like your optimism.  With Shelley and White graduating, I'm a little nervous. I wouldn't mind if we picked up a veteran guard from the transfer portal down the line.

You are right.  I am an optimistic person which is great until you are proven wrong.  I am not saying that all would be starters as you need capable backups.  Looks to me like some great competition for playing time.  And right or wrong I am considering  the 3 position as a guard.  As previously noted first  somebody needs to step up in filling that position this year.  We have three choices with an injured Krull, Moriarity and Nissely.

Not sure about size, but length and athleticism with an emphasis on athleticism.  I've watched Britt Prince play enough to know she's best in transition that is why I'm so excited for people like Miss Potts who can really get up and down the court really and offer some pretty good length.   I also think Miss White's up and down speed is essential in terms of transitioning our team into a faster tempo future.

We need to focus on getting some size.  We need some big bodies.

I wonder if they have given any thought to Redshirting MM one year.  That would give her a 5th year to focus on basketball, maybe pick up another degree? Might take some NIL money, but could be an option.  I'm also hoping Stewart comes back for an extra year.  We might have a little time, but agree, future BIGS are needed.

I had mentioned previously that I think Maggie will have a decision to make after volleyball is done as to which sport she will concentrate on in the future.  I hope it's WBB and yes she could redshirt this year and still be a part of the team and have a whole year to really concentrate on basketball.  She could come into next fall with 3 full years of eligibility left and make a big impact.

And she is just 18.  I've noticed Cook mentioning what a great teammate MM is, and all she has been contributing.  The Middle that decomitted, and signed with Texas, might have seen the talent we have at the position, and reconsidered.  I'm hoping Maggie sticks it out.

Agree completely.  We need size combined with athleticism.  That combination is difficult to find.

I think you look at transfers or juco bigs.  They tend to be a bit more battle tested and you sort of know what they can do at a higher level than high-school. Oftentimes a big in high school plays against smaller or lesser competition.
