Seems like we say this about recruit or transfer

It's a joke.  It's something that Creighton fans say unironically about every single recruit in the top 150 before and especially after they commit that these elite players will fit perfectly into McDermott's system.  Like, duh, you'll have more success when you recruit high level players.

It's just our way of mocking them.  That's all.

Stony Brook, a 7th seed, will play for the CAA championship and a trip to the tournament tomorrow.

This was probably what got us back up to (a tie for) #31 in KenPom tonight

They are sitting at 20-14 now and at one time had a losing record.  They play the top seed College of Charleston tonight and the winner is in the tournament.

The two teams played just 1 time in conference in the 2nd game of the conference season (Jan 6).  CofC won that one 93-87.

Stony Brook built a 1st half lead of 15 before being up just 7 at half.  After going back and forth for a bit on the 2nd half, Stoney Brook took a 5 point lead with 7:22 remaining but gave up 26 points in the remaining 7:22 to lose.

I was concerned about Stony Brook, it was tight for a while... then NU had back-to-back 84-63 wins over SBU & Oregon St.
