caveman Posted February 4, 2023 Report Posted February 4, 2023 In truth I really do not know if she fits Creighton's mold. Creighton's identity is defined by their defense. A tough and I do mean tough man defense with tons of switching so it kind of resembles a match up zone. Sometimes it is very hard to get an offense minded player to fill that mode and maintain the offensive production when they have to defend that hard. Offensive production falls off and the player gets too frustrated Quote
Cazzie22 Posted February 4, 2023 Report Posted February 4, 2023 A point guard who can score is a valuable commodity. When that prospect is in your home state you should have an assistant coach at every Elkhorn North game. All About the Corn, 12dozen, whoopdeedoo and 1 other 4 Quote
Gamafn Posted February 5, 2023 Report Posted February 5, 2023 Yep, look at Coach Ruhle aggressively recruiting the legacy Raiola kid, who lives in Arizona! When has Amy ever recruited a true difference-maker who has not transferred out? No, neither Markowski nor Weidner fit that description yet, and does anyone really have confidence that this staff will develop them to that level? Quote
All About the Corn Posted February 27, 2023 Report Posted February 27, 2023 So isn't Britt now free to name her college choice? Was thinking you needed to be in your Junior year of HS. Quote

huskerfrank Posted March 1, 2023 Report Posted March 1, 2023 Problem is you can verbally decommit at any time too up to when you officially sign as well. Verbals aren't worth as much these days. fred1212 1 Quote
fred1212 Posted March 2, 2023 Report Posted March 2, 2023 it depends somewhat where you're from. Quote

Huskerpapa Posted March 3, 2023 Report Posted March 3, 2023 Watched her at the State tournament today. NICE. she spent the vast majority of the first half, working the ball in the half court, attempting to involve her teammates. In the second half, she turned up the heat and took her game full court. Wonderful to watch. Neb Nets, Cazzie22, All About the Corn and 1 other 2 2 Quote
All About the Corn Posted March 4, 2023 Report Posted March 4, 2023 I’m going to watch Britt in person tomorrow. Looking forward to getting a closer look. Quote
nevermind Posted March 4, 2023 Report Posted March 4, 2023 Elkhorn North leads Omaha Skutt 32-27 at halftime in the Class B State Championship Game. Britt has 15 (4/5 from 3) at the half. All About the Corn Posted March 4, 2023 Report Posted March 4, 2023 Yes, Britt trying to gut it out on a sprained ankle. Quote
Neb Nets Posted March 4, 2023 Report Posted March 4, 2023 Obviously a lot to like about Britt’s game but I’ve been impressed with her court vision. A couple times she’s had the ball on the outside and saw a wide open teammate all alone in the post under the hoop and Britt fired the ball to her for the assist. Seems to be an unselfish player who wants to see her teammates succeed Merlin, Montana_85 F and mwm89 3 Quote
Cazzie22 Posted March 4, 2023 Report Posted March 4, 2023 I watched her in the semifinals where she wasn’t tested. Extremely poised but she is very quick and in the open court has plenty of speed. She makes good decisions and makes her teammates better. NU must pull out all the stops to sign her. Neb Nets and mwm89 2 Quote

Tom Jones Posted March 5, 2023 Report Posted March 5, 2023 i hope you are right, Papa. But after watching Iowa vs. Maryland a bit ago ..... why would she spurn offers to participate in action like that in favor of suffering thru average to above average play as a Husker? What are the advantages of coming here? Quote

All About the Corn Posted March 5, 2023 Report Posted March 5, 2023 She is 3rd on the state games scoring list with 200 points. Only junior to score 200. Hooper has 271 I think so barring an injury she could pass her next year. Class B stats. Quote
