Curious about NU's futility

I've followed NU since my elementary days in the mid-70s and cannot remember any NU sports season where they were under .500% (2018) in the "big three" sports. Are there any teams from the Power 5 or 6 conferences which accomplished this dubious feat? I always hope NU will be decent, and w/ Frost it looks certain, but not likely under Erstad and impossible under Miles (whom I really like as a person). The money NU has, and spends makes the futility shocking.

I'm sure Rutgers has done it, since joining the Big 10.

baseball's considered "big three" now? It's basically either high or low A ball, depending.

I would postulate that the volleyball team has surpassed the baseball team on the 'big three" list at NU.

Sorry I didn't clarify, I meant the men's programs, and by "big three" I mean by popularity in the U.S. Also, I want to make clear I have always loved the Huskers and wouldn't be upset if Moos and the admin. decide to retain Miles even though I think it extremely unlikely they will ever be consistently decent, let along good-to-great.

I presume it's "Top Three Men's Sports" as big 3.....

It has not been a real good stretch for NU for those 3 sports over the last few years.  Miles looks to be gone and Erstad might be heading in that direction. (I thought both would get the job done when hired) Football is still up in the air and it seems most are sure Frost will turn things around, but, what if he doesn't? Tough time being a Husker fan. Pair that up with being a Pittsburgh Pirate fan and you can see the pain I'm in!

I'm not sure if it was all in a calendar year but Illinois has been pretty bad

Erstad isn't going anywhere anytime soon.
