She hung in there for about three Qs after that early 1st Q foul, then the lid came off.  You could tell she was upset that she disqualified herself.  Need her to try to do her best and not commit cheap fouls tomorrow (not that she did tonight, but we will need her more Sat.)

She's just a pup.  Avoiding foul trouble, is another area we should see improvement, as she develops.  The future is bright, for Kate and her team.

The big thing that will help Kate is through experience she will learn that not all refs call things the same way or even differently during the game.  I love her aggressiveness not through emotional outbursts but just thru execution.  She quietly demonstrates to players inside "don't bring your junk in here".

 

Her desire to play great defense is demonstrated through her approx. 100 blocked shots.  Our starting center last year had 7 total for the year.

Thought I heard the announcers say last night Kate had not really been in a weight room before she got to NU.  Excited to see her next season after a full year of quality strength and conditioning.

Kate didn't arrive on campus until mid summer. She missed out on quite a bit of the summer weight lifting and pre-season conditioning.

Ohio St was impressive beating Maryland tonight.  Maryland will be the team to beat next year.

Iowa will continue to be the team I love to beat.  Moving into 2nd is now Maryland.  I'm glad we played them 3 times this year as we learned a lot in those games in other words a great measuring stick.

i think the one recruit maryland has coming in (6'5") could very well be a "game-changer" for them. very good chance of putting maryland back into the top ten.

B1G Tournament went "chalk" except for the #9 beating the #8.  That is fairly common in tournaments, though (9 beating an 8).
