Former Nebraska women’s basketball player Ashley Scoggin filed a lawsuit against the school amid allegations of an inappropriate relationship with former assistant coach Chuck Love.

“It arises from a professional coach initiating a sexual relationship with a student-athlete on his team, and from the response of the University of Nebraska and its athletic leadership to the confirmation of that relationship,” the lawsuit read.

Love resigned from his position as associate head coach back in May of 2022 after a three-month suspension. Scoggin departed the team that February and currently plays for UNLV.

Scoggin also named Amy Williams, the current head of Nebraska, in the lawsuit. Not only that, athletic director Trev Alberts is also named.

 

I hope we get to see what really happened at fateful night.

Is this new law suit ? Not a surprise for sure. But she's carpet bombing NU to be sure to get money, and wouldn't be to surprised if NU makes an offer to Scoggin.

I posted what was available on the internet.  Thought maybe the detailed story, on the On3 website, might be proprietary.

Plus, it gives you one more thing to complain about.

All you had to do was copy and paste, But maybe you don't know that. Well I learned from the best on here on how to complain.

Just read the on3 article. Always felt like something was not right with what was reported. If indeed true, this goes beyond Williams as a head coach, Alberts as the AD, there are players that fans are high on, and this just make them look so bad. Completely handled the wrong way on so many levels. If true then Ashley should not take money to drop the suit, it is a story that needs to be told.

I have faith that our coach and athletic director knew what they were doing at the time and will continue to do so.  That being said it can be one hell of a detraction or a rallying point for our team.  We will soon find out.

Watched the game. Indy was fired up, serious, and a bit testy. Their were a couple of stare downs to make it interesting.

 

The game environment was like at our house. Loud crowd they were and into it. 

Indy got ahead by about ten, at the half, and it stayed that way pretty much throughout.

 

Clark didn't have her usual swagger. Indy was running the box and one, like we did, and it worked pretty well.

Like has been said ...when Clark leaves, Iowa will have restart somewhat, but does have some talent of course. But that's next year.
