Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.  Frickin whoa down there.  Wait.  Atewe. 

 

That video ain't bad.  The kid has really, really improved his game from when he was in prep school.  I just crunched the numbers and, per 40 minutes of playing time, he's averaging almost 10 and-a-half points and rebounds per 40 minutes of playing time.  Which ain't great, but it ain't bad either.  And he shoots over 50% from the floor.

 

And he's a grad transfer so he doesn't have to sit out?

 

He's no Ed Morrow, but we could do worse.

Does any word of these threads get back to someone who could make a difference? Like is someone of importance thinking about Atewe right now, or is this all just for us to discuss and no word gets out of anything found

It'd be great if they went after Darius Thompson from VA and Atewe imo, and it'd be nice if someone could give word of that to the important people

This board is read by guys from the program but with all due respect they also read all the same stuff you do.

You probably didn't forget...it was from a lloooonnngggg time ago. Back in 2012 or 13 Atewe flipped from Nebraska to Auburn at the last minute and the place melted down. At one point he got in a twitter fight with Rosenthal.

dimes you make a good point.  We fought tooth and nail to get Atewe.  Many believed we had him.  Coaches spent a lot of time and effort to land him and he spurned us.  I am trying to get it straight in my mind (and it has been tough given the last few days) why the staff or the fans would want him now?  I guess if he initiated the contact and made it easy-peasy for us to secure his services, that may be a bit different.  Does anyone remember who his lead recruiter was?

It all depends on if bridges were burnt. However, I think Atewe has been a walking injury for his career so I can't think he's on top of our list.

Atewe either wasn't good enough to play minutes after being injured or else was injured yet again after missing most of his college career with leg issues.  HARD PASS.

Now, if Noah Dickerson is thinking about transferring...let me get you my beeper number

They'll all have to sit out a year, but yeah Vance jackson is a terrific shooter, Steven Enoch really can crowd up the lane, and juwan Durham is more of a risk because he is coming off two ACL tears
