The board is quiet so.....

New stuff from Raoul and other places

Derby Kansas...where our new wing recruit comes from:

She's already on top 50 watch lists by major web sites for 2019 ...keep an eye on her..just a freshman

Courtney Ekmark (6-0 junior guard) is transferring from UConn to Arizona State

B1G

Big Ten WBB recruiting—the 14 teams have landed just 8 commits for 2017: ILL & Indiana with 2 each; Iowa, Mich, MSU, Purdue have 1.

Geno's seriously thin-skinned if those comments raised his hackles. Duke's coach is known to be...a little eccentric with quotes (while being mostly harmless) and Geno surely knows that, yet fires back anyway.

Yes...Geno can simply be a jerk at times

Article about Staley and South Carolina and..... transfers.

It's getting to the point for NCAA to do something about the issue...it's escalating.....almost out of control.

I'd like to see parents do something about it....like teach delayed gratification, persistence, rising up to the challenge, team vs. individual, and crazy old-fashioned concepts like that.

Very good point HB but I think in a lot of instances it would be hard to get a parent to agree to do just that. If I had to guess I'd say a lot of the transfers have to do with the parents living vicariously through their kid thinking their kid is a lot better than they actually are.

And if their kid doesn't get the playing time, or gets the star treatment... etc. they're like "we're taking our ball to a team where it will happen."  i.e. TK LaFleur and KC Cowgill.

jmo, but, if mulkey dismissed her, it probably wasn't good. no idea.

another transfer that may still be out there is Tonia Wade. she transferred to sdsu from st john's, but, has left sdsu. haven't been able to find out why she left sdsu. 6' 1" wing, if i remember correctly. she is originally from the twin cities area. i know sdsu was really excited to have her and pretty disappointed she left. very athletic from what i read about her. one criteria that would fit coach williams. imo, it does raise flags when a person transfers that much. not sure it's a position of "need" for the huskers though.

Sure does....obviously don't know all the details but sounds like some issue(s) that she just can't overcome....or adjust to the multiple situation(s).

Kids like that are unfortunately "shooting" themselves in the foot so to speak...other schools won't want to risk the investment necessary in bringing someone with issues, into the team setting the coach is working hard on day in and day out   It's hard enough to coach these days.

The players can end up being the loser and may not have the opportunities, and thus never reach her potential.

could this work for the Huskers?

Looks like she would be a good get if the coaches are interested and act quickly.  Probably wouldn't hurt to add another PG.
