Last year was lightning in a bottle. That being said Miles will get us there, it just will take longer then 2-3 years. I think right now we are discovering how special last winter was, and what can happen when your expectations are high. In Miles we trust. Give it time.

The Harsh Reality About Tonight
The Polish Rifle replied to hhcdave's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
I hate the, "we are better, we just played bad" excuse. They beat us by 10 on our floor, and they've beat us 4 times in a row. They are the better basketball team. If the roles were reversed husker fans would be having fits if CU was saying they are better. To end my post on a lighter note, with Miles we are trending in the right direction, just not there yet. -
Bullshit. I don't want to repay the favor next year. We should have repaid the favor this year. If CU fans were having their fun, good for them. They have scoreboard. We have no right to bitch about some Creighton fans enjoying their win. We do have a right to bitch about not being the fans that got to enjoy the win. Yeppppp.....They returned 1 starter and lost the best player in the history of their program. We returned 5 starters and were playing at "The Vault" and still managed to lose by 10. If there was ever a time to beat CU, that was it.

Hess did the FSU Vs. Manhatten game to start the season. There were 65 fouls called and 80 FTs shot......

Its their new branding since the move to D1. They pretty much recrated everything athleticly. They prefer just Omaha now. -

You know what would be REALLY, REALLY cool?
The Polish Rifle replied to Norm Peterson's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
Is he still headed overseas? He would have taken that program to the next level. -

He put up huge #s in big games. 20 and 9 against Oak Hill, triple double in the state title. He was dominate. Stats tend to get skewed when you play 1 quarter of a 80-20 boat race, which that central squad did to teams on a weekly basis.
-
Well, you were correct that he's not coming to Nebraska. What are the chances we offer? I'm not saying he would turn his back on CU, but why wouldn't we offer a top 50 player in our backyard?
-
How is there a top 50 big in Omaha, and we didn't offer? Heck how does a top 50 big only have 1 offer total? I'm not saying he doesn't deserve the rating but that means dozens of schools made had a huge whiff.

Very sound logic. No holes in that analysis. -

"Great" and "Very Nice", don't know how you can beat those reviews. Shocked he didn't commit yet. -
Andrew White III - Kansas Transfer
The Polish Rifle replied to uneblinstu's topic in Husker Hoops Recruiting
Yeah all the "all's quiet on the western front" does kind of make it seem like all that needs to be done is the dotting of the i's and crossing some t's. I'm inclined to believe AW3 is taking his time making this decision. That's what he told everyone before the process, and that is what we have seen throughout the process. This is a big decision and could determine if he reaches what I assume to be his life goal (NBA). I believe he wants to be absolutely sure of the school he picks, and is genuinely mulling this over. That being said, I don't think we are out of this by any means. -
PF Eric McKnight - Graduate Transfer (FGCU)
The Polish Rifle replied to Shuttlesworth's topic in Husker Hoops Recruiting
He is cleared by the NCAA from my understanding but was denied by the SEC due to disciplinary issues. Which is odd when you look at the type of crap that goes on in the SEC. -
Has himself a nice little offer list, complete with power conference teams and ivy league teams......Iowa, Notre Dame, Vandy, New Mexico, Princeton and Harvard to name a few. Currently ranked the 39th center on ESPN.

Really shocking that he ran into Weis at dinner of all places. -

Article was pretty on point for everything we have heard from AW3. He called Nebraska an up and comer with state of the art facilities. He called Notre Dame a established team with old school buildings and facilities. Most importantly he is playing pick up games with the players and talking with the coaches to see where he fits in. He said when he is certain of where he wants to be, he will commit. I like our chances, but the article didn't hint at anything that will help/hurt. -
Andrew White III - Kansas Transfer

This. Incredibly detailed and complimentary. White broke down everything he saw about us, and all the positives, in really deep detail. Kid is incredibly mature. He's still taking other visits, as expected...but I think we made as good an impression on him as we possibly could. Will it be enough? Who knows. But if nothing else his quotes about us should end up getting emailed to other guys we are recruiting. He sold NU pretty well. One thing that stood out was him saying he was going to take "alot" of visits. So this thing may not be over for a little bit. -

Would love to have his brother walk-on. If he has the work ethic and a good head on his shoulders like Andrew you never know what could happen. His brother apparently is getting some mid-high major looks as 2015 PG according to this article that also explains more on why Andrew decided to transfer from KU. http://www2.kusports.com/news/2014/may/10/andrew-whites-little-brother-draws-recruiting-inte/ -
Patton immediately upgraded to a 3-star on rivals after he committed. Strange a kid like this gets 3-stars as soon as Creighton offers but kids like Khyri Thomas (Benson) and Tre'Shawn Thurman (Central) remain unranked their entire high school career.

Also in the video description it says he has offers from over 50 D-1 institutions.
