Just wanted to check-in and say this reffing is damn horseshit. Its amazing the difference of calls these teams are getting in the paint. -
I didn't know that either. I wonder if it was the same condition that forced that Baylor player into retirement prior to the NBA draft. Tragic situation.

Obviously this win should be credited to Miles, Nebraska beat Wisconsin 70-58 in the big 10 tournament and Wisconsin went 4-20 from 3. McD is always stealing pages out of Miles book.

I came to that realization too.

Tough game for Mary, they gotta regroup and be ready for Yellowstone Christian College this week. -
KenPom 2016-2017 KenPom Rankings Thread
The Polish Rifle replied to 49r's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
Question, since Mary is a Division 2 school, is it more beneficial for us to play them over some D1 250+ ranked program in terms of Ken Pom/RPI type ratings? -

Looks like charge/block rule is still a complete unknown. So frustrating how inconsistently its called. -

Haven't had any trouble getting to bucket but once we've gotten there we haven't finished. Lots of missed lay-ups early. -

Looks like the Eagles were 7-19 last year and lost 75-50 to Wyoming in a non secret exhibition last week. -

Die hard Tribe fan here...was hoping I could find refuge here without seeing any mention of the WS. That being said this morning I texted my buddy and said Nebrasketball needs to beat creighton this year and win a tourney game, one of my godforsaken streaks needs to end. -
Sad deal, IMHO. Bob Herold's son will be a SOPH. Bob's wife is the athletically acclaimed Sondra Obermeier of Aurora. Other than that, I don't know all that much about it. I was shocked. Herold is held in very high regard in baseball circles. I was an intern in the UNO athletic department and Coach Herold was absolutely a class act. He went of of his way to speak with me on more than one occasion while I was just an intern to everyone else in the department. Disappointed to hear this news.

Perspective is everything. I agree he's gone, lets go win some games without him!

OK, AWIII is gone. Let's guess where he ends up.

I love the first line of this article "A day after requesting a transfer release for him, Louisville's coaches contacted Nebraska wing Andrew White"......basically saying "No NCAA violations going on here, everything was done by the book". -
I think I'd take him. Scoring point guard eligible the year after Tai graduates. What exactly is indicating that this isn't a done deal? The dude is gonig to Gonzaga. The problem with AWIII taking his sweet time is that our fairly small chance of even getting Matthews or others to visit is that a lot of those ships have sailed. You mentioned you were tracking the market closely. When I looked at the guys showing available on the graduate transfer market a couple days ago on ESPN it was extremely bare. Do you have anyone in mind that Miles might be considering? We really do need a depth guy at the very least. I'll post a list in a bit. Right now I'm seeing 33 guys available including non-guards, guys kicked off their teams for being awful, and/or walk-ons. I went through the list after class today to see if there were anyone that roughly fits AW3 mold. I also eliminated guys that had character issues. One guy that was intriguing to me that hadn't committed anywhere is Kellen McCormick from Western Michigan. He's 6'8", immediately eligible, and he can fill it in from 3. Shot 46% from three and hit 9 in one game. He wouldn't be an all conf player but maybe a warm body that could spread the floor? http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/player/gamelog/_/id/61453/kellen-mccormick He has not committed anywhere, Ga Tech, USC involved.

It seems like Maryland checks all the boxes, PG that can create for him to get open looks, close to home, tournament squad, and I wouldn't put it past turgeon to reach out to him. -
What about the role of handlers, AAU guys, and the impending-coach-for-AW-III-in-waiting (who surely contacted White, i.e. tampering)... this whole situation reeks to high heaven. I really liked the type of guy that White seemed to be when he was "all N" but this new handled Andrew is not a guy many Husker hoopsters can be too pleased with, and neither would the general hoops fandom in the state of Nebraska likely be with him at the moment. Nebraska will overcome this, just like losing Petteway the prior year. Althought a ton falls on the shoulders of Webster, Gill, and Watson, I truly think they are up to the task. Those three need to run the show by getting the rest of the team on the path to greatness by putting in the work & let the chips fall where they may. GBR When guys like Seth Greenberg and Jeff Goldman are tweeting things referencing how sketchy this situation is, you know there was some back door dealings going on. I usually am not for restricting a players transfer options, but this situation seems to call for it. That being said I am still looking forward to this season, the kids who want to be here, and want to compete for the name on the front of the jersey and not the back of the jersey. Hopefully it gives them some extra motivation.

Man I wouldn't be hard on the kid if this had happened a month ago or earlier, but this seems like a complete chickensh*t move. I don't know what was happening behind the scenes but this is a complete gut punch to the coaches, fans, and probably most importantly his teammates.

Such a slap in the face to Miles.

Left the bases loaded twice with out scoring a single run, amazing.
