I think Volleyball will eat into Men’s Basketball Share at Nebraska. Most P5 schools will feed NIL and Revenue Share to 1. Football and 2. Men’s Basketball. At Nebraska we will feed NIL/Rev Share to 1. Football 2a. Men’s Basketball 2b. Volleyball.

Here’s a fun exercise: 2025 Total Roster Budget: $6M 2025 Roster, Current: $2M 2025 Left to Spend: $4M All-Conf Player: $1.25M-$2M Starter: $500k-$1.25M Contributor: $250k-$500k Project/End of Bench: $0-$250k Might be crazy, but I would spend $3M of our $4M on 2 players at that all conf level - a PG and a wing who can score.

$6M was top 25 NIL. Robin said his initial thought that our $2M - $2.5M was middle of the pack but it was slightly under that. Still significantly better than Iowa and Minnesota this past season.

Is that reasonable? The $6M that Minnesota is shelling out is a significant investment for them. They were at $1M last year. Feels like $6M is the middle of the pack B1G neighborhood we’re gonna have to live in.

Kalkbrenner owned the 5 feet around the basket and kept LVille uncomfortable all game. He will be the hardest player to replace in CBB.

They had zero game plan for Kalkbrenner. I guess shoot contested floaters which they are about 10% on.

100%. How we allocate funds is important too. Someone on another board sarcastically asked me if I was okay with Chucky giving 40% of our NIL budget. Hell yeah I am. I woulda much rather given Chucky 40% of our budget than Meah/Berke. Chucky/Gary/Williams core is winning a tournament game.
