    Here’s my issue with anyone critical of our transfer class, none of the basketball scouting services have figured out how to project transfer impact. The top 3 transfer classes on On3 last year went a combined 13-43 in conf play. Meanwhile Bama had 3 transfers out of their top 5 most productive players on a Final 4 team and were rated in the 40s.

    Fred has been much better recruiting fit over flash. Call me crazy, but I Much prefer this class to 5 stars and flashy transfers. I guess the disclaimer to that is we get another starter caliber 4 in the portal (which we will).

    Wonder if Kyle will start? They have two PF transfers that are underclassman, ranked higher and were more productive at P5 schools. Their future at C is a 5 star from Spain that got some minutes last year. Guessing they picked up Kyle as a back up center.

    The video of two of our guys literally playing grab ass (nuts), down 5 runs wasn’t encouraging. Starting to feel a little bubbly when it comes to the NCAAs, hope they pull out of the funk.

    Losing to CU sucks, but besides that - they really need to pull their heads out of their asses if they want to stay on a regional path. No gimmes in the next 9, next team with a losing record is Minny in May.

    Ulis - 4.0 ppg / 1.9 ast / 1.2 rpg / 1 to, on 37/31/78 splits Worster - 8.6 ppg / 4.1 ast / 4.6 rpg / 1.9 to, on 41/29/78 splits For sure a role for Ulis on this team, but I'd be pretty surprised if Worster wasn't starting at 1.

    Sounds like Griffiths and Worster may both be N soon. Robin just put his official prediction N for Griffiths on On3.

    Yeah, which is so hard in baseball. Teams like Oklahoma st who we are fighting with have the opportunity to rack up big wins. We basically have to win 80% of our games and somehow get 5+ quad 1 wins in the process, with limited opportunities.

    What? Absolutely not. I don’t think expectations should be hosting. Don’t think we’re in line to host in my honest opinion, and with our schedule it’ll be tough/almost impossible to get there. I think making the tournament this year is the expectation and would be more than happy with that.

    We were a border line host before our slump. Remember college baseball is now using quads. Current teams on the host bubble are Indiana St and Oklahoma state. They both have 5+ quad 1 wins. We’re 0-4 in quad 1. Is it impossible to host? No. But it just seems like something that seems so far away right now. Win 10 out of the next 12 then I’ll start considering it again. Stacking dubs and positioning ourselves to win the conf is what I’m more worried about.

    Yeah cart got ahead of the horse. This team should have never been talked about as a regional host/top 25 team. Focus should be competing for a B10 title and making a regional.

    I hope Kalk is gone. My opinion is he’s the sole reason they were able to make the jump from 1st weekend team to final 4 contender. 7’2, elite defensively, skilled offensively. Maybe 2 other teams have one of those unicorns and they played last night. I want him gone.

    Why do we need to get more athletic? We don’t need to overcorrect due to one game where A&M shot out of their minds. Fred needs to stick with the same formula that got us 23 wins, 3rd place in conf and an 8 seed.

    Yep, Kentucky is big game hunting. Billy Donovan makes a ton of sense.

    Robin’s comments on Morgan have me skeptical. Says he loved NU and is a fit for basketball and school (Ag). But also says he’s a wild card and family farm is close to U of M, and that he consistently visited family when he was at NDSU. Seems like a toss up, would have felt better if he left Lincoln committed.

    So Hoiberg is headed to Champaign today. Dainja is the only Illinois player in the portal, but he is supposedly visiting Memphis today. Wonder if we got pushed aside or got a commitment elsewhere…
