  1. Bump. Still curious as to what you have heard in the rumor mill since you are happy to share.
  2. I understand that you try to take offense to anything you perceive as negative but I was really referring to our talent level and not this particular loss. And that’s nothing against Perry who could end up a really good pitcher down the road but right now we don’t know what we will get out of our 4th starter come tourny time.
  3. +1. I watched a few Duquesne games last year and this kid can play. He would look very good in Husker red.
  4. Any idea if he had shoulder surgery? Sounds like that was his issue at FGCU. I read somewhere where the coach said he was injured the whole time because it would pop out of place every week.
  5. Midweek is one of the biggest differences between our program now vs when it was rolling. More often than not we have to trot out a young kid like Perry and you are just not sure what you are going to get from them. Hopefully the team can put it behind them. Penn St is another bad baseball team that we could potentially sweep and get to 10-2 in conference play.
  6. Yes, in years past the selection committee has placed a heavy emphasis on the RPI. Creighton actually lucked out with the shitty weather. They dodged some terrible RPI games. But, they can’t run from the Big East. They have 12 games remaining against teams that are +230 in the RPI.
  7. I hope Matt kept Ian Steer and Justin Simons number.
  8. Wouldnt it have been smart for him to enter in the transfer portal if that was the case?
  9. Having watched all 3 games I can safely say Purdue is pretty awful. We did what we should have done against a bad team and that’s good because it’s not something we have been able to say the last few years. Avoid any major slip ups and our schedule sets up pretty nicely to play our way into a regional with Illinois/ASU/Mich at home.
  10. Well you haven’t really shared anything. Spill the beans on the rumors you have heard if you are happy to share what you know.
  11. I don’t think posting Thomas was gone regardless who was coach is a shot at Miles. It wasn’t exactly a secret that TA was a bit homesick. Nothing Miles or Hoiberg could do about that.
  12. All you have to do is take 5 minutes to go thru his tweets to figure out the guy is off his rocker. He seems to be really upset the juco recruit decommitted considering he has sent him numerous tweets bashing him.
  13. Hopefully we break out the brooms again this weekend. Sweep Purdue and we will be in a good spot to hopefully win the conference again.
  14. If we can retain Green and land Mack things are shaping up nicely at the guard position. Still no depth but Mack/Green/Burke will be fun to watch.
  15. Sounds like he was gone even if Miles was retained. With another year to round out his game, he’s going to be very solid for NC St.
  16. Best of luck to TA. I liked his game and thought he should have been farther along with his development at this point. It will be interesting to see where he lands.
  17. I don’t see how Amir fits into Hoibergs offense unless he somehow develops a jumper in the offseason. But hopefully he will stick around for next year. If so I feel good about our guards. I’m assuming Roby is gone, so the staff will need to dig deep to find help at the 4-5.
  18. The early prognosis from recruits has been great. Quite honestly, if it was anybody but Hoiberg we are probably talking about a total rebuild. We we will see if Hoiberg keeps all of the recruits but if he can somehow pull off Green, Roby, Allen next year doesn’t look so bad. Still missing some pieces but would love to see what the current roster + our incoming recruits can do under Hoiberg.
  19. If it’s actually official. That’s a big time hire for Nebrasketball. Now get to recruiting those transfers. Looking forward to seeing what they can do on the recruiting trail this summer.
  20. I have not watched enough games this year to know if that’s the case with this team. If it is, Erstad may want to think twice because under him we have not been a team that consistently packs much of a punch. Our slugging percentage and home run total is pretty low compared to the rest of the nation. We would be better off putting the ball in play and forcing the other team to make a play.
  21. I don’t know much about Nebrasketball history pre the mid 90’s but as an incoming coach he blows Collier/Sadler/Miles out of the water. And it’s not close. I have no idea if he will end up being the best coach we have ever had as who knows...he may not stay long. But, considering where Nebraska is at on the totem pole I don’t see how any Nebraska fan would not be wide eyed when looking at his resume.
  22. I have heard some rumors that we may have two former failed Bulls coaches in Lincoln and that one is already in the process of trying to lock up Green again. You hearing the same NUStudent?
  23. I would definitely take him over Tim Miles. But at this point, if it’s not Hoiberg I’ll be disappointed.
  24. No reason for him not to enter the portal. Still has the option to return if he and hopefully Hoiberg meet eye to eye.
  25. Some people seem to think he can can do better than mid major so I’m not sure he settles for a Summit league type job.
