I wouldn’t mind seeing the UCF program go down in flames again.

I remember Frost making a comment about how jacked up the cross divisional games are. He wasn’t wrong. But, the Big Ten strategically did it this way for more prime time games in thinking Nebraska/Ohio St would both be good. One program is holding up to their end of the bargain.

Maryland, Rutgers, Illinois....and now Nebraska. The only teams that Indiana has beat within the Big Ten over the last 3 years. I honestly have not watched enough Indians football to dispute if they are good or not but I feel pretty confident in saying that’s not a game you should be losing at home. It’s going to be a pretty tough pill to swallow if Frost goes 0-2 in making bowl games and it’s going to make getting “back” that much harder.

Hopefully. I still think Frost can be that guy but I do think it’s going to require him reverting course and moving on from some of his friends. In no way do I see Nebraska ever winning a conference title with a guy like Chinander leading the defense. I’m not even sure we can win the division with him on the sidelines.

The Riley excuse is running pretty thin when you can’t even beat Indiana at home. 5 millions dollars a year and the go is on the verge of missing a bowl again. I would say Frost has some pretty tough choices to make this offseason but I have zero faith in him getting rid of any of his buddies.

I hope he gets a favorable ruling. One of my favorite players on this team and his presence on the boards will be needed this year.

You may want to wait until year 5. I'm afraid even if we somehow correct our issues, that year is going to be pretty brutal. @Oklahoma @Mich St Ohio St All back to back. And then we also have Mich at home. It's going to be tough sledding that year. Hopefully Lincoln Riley decides to take the Cowboys job after this year.

Clemson too high IMO. Swap them and OU. OU looks to have found a defense which is a scary thing. But, I still don’t fully trust Hurts when he goes up against a good defense. Have to give Lincoln Riley credit. He recognized issues with his staff and went out and got well regarded DC.

D Coordinator is just one of the problems. Not theeeee problem. Our offensive line is a disaster. Development at almost every position group has been minimal since last year. People bringing up 0-6 is laughable. We had no business being 0-6 last year. The Colorado, Troy, and NW games all should have been wins. That was just the beginning of the red flags. Hopefully they can right the ship. Because they aren’t going anywhere. But, there are a lot of cause for concern at this point.

It’s early but many would be singing a different tune if Frost had not played here. He needs 5 years, but it’s been bad. Really bad. Fleck made a big decision to fire his defensive coordinator after I believe the Nebraska game last year. They have been on a roll since. I can’t say I trust Frost to make a similar call. Frost saddled himself with some very inexperienced coaches and I think it’s coming back to bite him int he behind.

I've been out of the game for awhile. Any word on Stevenson getting a waiver to play this season? Or is that just wishful thinking? I think he is going to be a very important piece of the puzzle. He can provide some help on the boards for a team that will be needing it.

Maybe not the Supers...even though I have seen that stat thrown out multiple times to discredit Big Ten baseball. But, you have to get to the supers to have a chance at the CWS. Having more Big Ten baseball programs make the CWS would definitely be good for the conference.

Disagree. 1. Never Creighton. 2. It only helps Nebraska to have other Big Ten schools make it to the CWS and Supers. With that said, maybe a Creighton run will add some pressure on Darin showing that it can be done in this state. And Creighton is far more difficult job.

Yeah I didn’t say we there was no talent at all. The young talent remains to be seen. We have been down this road before and “young talent” end up having marginal careers. Remains to be seen if Erstad/Silva can develop guys like Gomes, Chick, Schwellenbach.

Team didn’t show up today. Hard to complain about the season considering we made a regional with a roster that isn’t exactly loaded with talent. With that said, after 8 years...zero Big Ten tournament titles, and 2-8 in regional play. The question marks around Darin Erstad still linger.

Gomes was living in the mid 90’s to start the year. For whatever reason tonight he was hitting 90-92 and throwing nothing but fastballs which of course one of the better hitting teams in D-1 was going to tee off on. Talks of him becoming a starter next year. If so, hopefully the staff handles him better than they did Luensmann. Luensman went from being a freshman all American to someone who is now relegated to mop up duty.

If I’m Erstad, I would be really pissed at Silva right about now. Just really questionable pitch selection in the 9th.

Hoping to see a lot of pitchers used by Ohio St-Minne today. We have some options. We have some options. Would not surprise me to see Eddins get a few innings today.

Have to think our pitching staff is in the best position going forward compared to other teams. We have not had to burn any of our top arms. I guess i wasnt aware we would play the winner of Maryland/Mich now. I figured it would be Iowa/Minnesota.
