Gotta love Euro basketball...uniform looks like NASCAR with all the ads

Like I said, Central will likely win....And yes I knew Hollis was out. But wins are still wins. Papio isn't going to just lay down. They'll have confidence.
-
Papio does own a win against Central during the regular season. Now I believe Central is going to win, but don't count out the Monarch's.
-
Well maybe they do, but every time I do it's Creighton, NBA, and their rec team. I keep hearing Jake talk about how he's a big Husker fan, but very little talk. Yesterday they had Shick on and every question was Creighton related. Today they came back from break introduced themselves to anybody who might be in for state basketball. Talked about how they talk everything Huskers. Then mentioned how Nick Bahe (former Creighton standout) is the normal host and then began the talk of what seed Creighton is.
-
What class did Bruce Chubiak come from? Wasn't Markowski a C1 player?
-
Add 93.7 the Drive (Bahe and Bogus) to the mix too. Go figure I thought they would talk about a ton of college basketball this season. Instead they talk non stop NBA and when it is college it's Creighton. Heck even when they had Matt Shick on as their guest he gave them a hard time about talking so much Creighton and ignoring their Lincoln radio base. Unsportsmanlike Conduct never really talked too much Creighton before when Kugler was co-hosting, but now with Bishop on board it's the defacto Creighton station. /rant

HHCC Game #31 - Mar 9 vs. Iowa (1:20 PM)

Bronson was more of an inside player with good athletic ability. Moon to me seems to be a perimeter player. But I have only seen him play once last year and they had another 6'7 guy that mainly played inside. Maybe he is doing more of that this year. I wonder if a good comparison is Conner Beranek? Moon is taller and I believe more built. But they were both scorers from the outside.

Predicting the 2012-2013 Season. Wins and losses
TheGov21 replied to BjoeHusker's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
Do you have a time machine, and can I borrow it? Some old man gave me a 2013 Sports Almanac at the beginning of the season...... His name wouldn't have happened to be Biff, would it? I'm glad at least one person got the joke -

Now that the last season in the Bob is over ...
TheGov21 replied to Norm Peterson's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
When I was in college there was a little student housing/apartment building just on the other side of the railroad tracks. I was one of those jerks that took a spot in there. Never had an issue with it. Besides that I also parked to the East of the 'Bob along the fence line. Never had any issues there. -
I remember watching him play last year in the State championship game. I thought he played well and had a good skill set, but wasn't blown out of the water. Hopefully they make it to the state finals again so I can see him play again. I think he's more than likely a walk on candidate, but I guess he played well this past summer. But I also heard he really wants to go to Nebraska, so a walk on wouldn't be out of the question. And a 6'8 shooter as a walk on is a good thing IMO.
-
Yeah I was pretty impressed with him. Also really liked the C for Benson. 6'9 junior. Pesonally thought he played better than Akoy. Had a better offensive presence and skill set IMO.
-
I'm just excited to have a 6'7 shooter. Now for next year Rey won't be the only guy that is a deep threat. Hopefully it will help open things up for Biggs, Shields, Webster, and whoever else to get to the rim.

HHCC Game #30 - Mar 6 vs. Minnesota (8:00 PM)

Usually guys that projected to be an early 2nd round pick at best don't leave school early unless there is other issues going on. McDermott doesn't have those issues. He'll probably enter his name for the draft to gauge where he'll go (like a lot of college players do, Ryan Anderson did) and then decide to come back.
-
If this is true it's going to be a bad wake up call for Blue Jay fans. Word is that they could join the league next year. Creighton would struggle playing those teams with a team of McDermott (if you think he's leaving for the NBA your crazy) and no other impact player they'll be lucky to finish in the middle of the pack. Yeah this will open up their recruiting to potentially better players, but their are going to struggle for several years. It will be interesting to see how it unfolds. The big question that I have is how is it going to affect Creighton's bottom line. They'll have to send all their sports to the East coast for road trips. No more bus trips. They'll have to fly everywhere. I also thought (somebody please correct me if wrong) each school would only get $2 million each for the Fox Sports TV deal. Is that going to cover their new travel costs? If things go where I think, we could be seeing the demise of Creighton being a relevant basketball program.

HHCC Game #29 - Mar 2 vs. Illinois (4:15 PM)

I'm going to get killed for this, but it's been bugging me for a while. I'm not singling anybody out here nor talking specifically about this site, but I absolutely hate that fact that people are so willing to make fun of college athletes. Yes Andre is overweight. Who are we to make fun of him. Grown adults making fun of a college player. Yeah he has struggled a ton this year. But he is also coming off of a knee injury and from the sounds of it hasn't fully recovered. That, his struggles, and match up issues isn't playing. But like people said before, when he was healthier in his first year he was a good role player off the bench. We was suppose to be a role player last year but was hurt. This year he was forced to play a larger role. It's not his fault Diaz left. It's not his fault Doc offered him a scholorship and didn't bring in other recuits which would allow him to stay as a role player.
-
Like cozrulz said, the only way that Menke keeps his scholorship is if they don't fill it with a new recruit. Chances are Menke will be back as a walk on. Don't know why we are worried if walk ons are going to be a part of the team. Kye and Ritche don't play and they more than likely won't. I'm sure they are more than aware of that. I also agree that I hope Miles doesn't totally make over the roster. Sure the easy thing is to say Vucetic doesn't deserve his scholorship and Miles should cut him loose. But he's only a freshman, lets see if he can add weight and develop. I also hope Parker stays. He's struggled for most of the Big 10 season, but he has talent and some work in the off season he could be a lot better. Adding the transfers and new recruits the team will look a lot different anyways.
-
I also heard an ISU fan tried to punch Bill Self after he was done with the interview right after the game.

Speaking of graduate transfers ...

If there isn't any new recruits or additons (besides the three incoming freshman) I believe Petteway would play the 4 spot over Shields. -

Heck Jay-R Strowbridge did this. Left whatever school he was at and went to Oregon in Altman's first year. I believe one of the most high profile graduate transfers was when Lon Kruger's kid transfered to UNLV the year they made a run in the tourney. -

I wonder if there is anybody on Colorado State's roster that might qualify for this and want to come play for Miles again.
