  1. I heard an interview with a former football player that was there when Nebraska went from Apex to Adidas. I guess back then TO address the team and asked them if they wanted to go to Nike or Adidas. The players seemed to want to go to Nike, but TO helped sway the team towards Adidas because he told them that Adidas was going to taylor more of their stuff towards them. I think that was when they had those "feet you wear" that were red and black and designed for the Huskers. I don't know for sure if he thinks Nike is better than Adidas, but it sounds like back then he liked Adidas better.
  2. Eichorst came from Wisconsin which is also an Adidas school. Wonder if that comes into play. Personally I think Nike has better shoes, but I like Adidas apperal much more. I'd vote to stay with Adidas. If my opinion mattered.
  3. yeah they got Westside's top two players

  5. I don't know if anybody else caught this, but I was listening to Shapre and Benning in the Morning on 1620 the Zone earlier this week and they were talking to a guy that covers the City of Pams tournament that Omaha Central is in. During the talk they brought up Tre'Shawn. After they were done with the interview they mentioned that Tre'Shawn had "no interest" in Nebraska. (13:08 mark) But both agreed that Miles needs to get this kid interested. I don't know about anybody else, but this is a kid Nebraska really needs to get. They've struck out locally (not Mile's fault) and could really afford to get it going. He is a from what I've seen, a better prospect than Akoy. Here is a link to the interview. Hopefully I did it right. http://stationcaster.com/stations/kozn/?d=AM&cid=981#
  6. http://www.omaha.com...tune-his-attack Just read Shatel's column and he had a few nuggets in there that pertained to Husker Hoops. Why does the media want a second game so bad. No other schools do it. Does Xavier and Cincinnati play twice? How about Marquette and Wisconsin? Iowa and Iowa State? Witchita State and Kansas? It will be interesting to see who Nebraska gets to for the opener. I'm hoping it is actually somebody big. An Old Big 8 team would be nice. A follow up question. Does anybody know if the Huskers first game will be the first event in the new areana? Or will a concert or something else take place first?
  7. I watched the video several times and still don't know how that happened. How do you miss THAT bad? I mean seriously, how do you miss that bad?
  8. I don't dislike the Red Zone, but I can understand why some don't like it. Personally I love both of the above suggestions.
  9. When I was a student I use to see a lot of the players in the Student C section. Heck I remember one game Courtney Grixby got punched by a teammate up in the benches.
  10. I'd go with the football team. Saturday's game not withstanding, next year's team is lining up to be pretty good. As long as they shore up some holes on defense. Ohio State will be eligible again, but I'm not buying into them being so dominant next year. They'll lose a lot. Basketball I believe is on the right track, but it's still going to be a couple of years before they get running full steam.
  11. Anybody else notice that half of the bleachers looked to be pushed in? Almost looked like a Summer league game. Found that to be odd. But maybe it's me.
  12. I don't know about anybody else, but Talley scares the he!! out of me when he's dribbling the ball.
  13. Agree 100% on Wes. It's too bad that he really seemed to really get things going and then he graduated. But that's what happens when a coach feels that he HAS to win and will play guys that would benefit from redshirting.
