  1. Brandon Ubel = 19 ppg Doug McDermott = 13 ppg
  2. Here is my prediction: 2012/13 season = no post season 2013/14 season = high NIT seed (thinking a 2 seed) 2014/15 season = NCAA tournament bid
  3. I think they would be best to rest him for UNO and hoping try to start working him back in for Tulane on Wednesday. We need this kid in the rotation so don't want to rush it and have him 100% healed so can play the rest of the season with no lingering effects.
  4. Can't 100% agree with you as do agree that Ray could always shoot the ball but think he game shooting issues were more related to Doc's coaching. Ray would take a shot early in shot clock and Doc didn't like is and would give him the hook (as he did with several players). The last thing you want is playing thinking about it and just shoot. Ray wanted to play more uptemp and Doc didn't want to so there was enough conflict that Ray and other struggled offensively. You have to trust kids to take shots when they feel it regardless of how much time is left on shot clock. If they continue to take bad shots, then you can sit them and explain things but not because you take a shot early in the shot clock.
  5. I really like this coaching staff and what they are trying to do. You can see guys like Rivers still struggling to get past the "if I make a mistake, I'll get pulled" mentality but it will come. We need guys like Rivers to step their game up since we are very short handed with bench players. It will help when Shields comes back. Not often you can score 50 points and not make a field goal for the last 7+ minutes of the game and still get a win but I'll take'em anyway I can get them this year. Solid win over probably an NCAA tournament team. Well done coaches and players.
  6. This has the makings for a blow out by Valpo. If River's can't play, we could lose by 25 easily. That leaves us with our starters and 2 walkon's getting most the minutes. OUCH.
  7. Hope it all goes well for him. Hate to see him leave the state but wish him well. I like the 6 new players Miles has lined up for next year and think we will be much more competitive immediately in 2013.
  8. It was a very sad crowd for a seaon opener. At least the student section filled up which is more than I can say for last year. The only thing that is going to put butts in the seats at this points is wins. Doc ran this program so far in the ground that it's going to take alot to get fans back on board again.
  9. No, as I know for sure he is not at Midland anymore
  10. Here is what Robin Washut is reporting but this kid sure don't look very impressive with his size or schools that have offered him. Robin Washut ‏@RobinWashut #Nebrasketball is showing heavy interest in 2013 PF Aram Martin of The Miller School in Virginia. Hoping to set up official visit this month Robin Washut ‏@RobinWashut Martin tells me NU coaches will see him play next week, where he's hoping for an offer and to schedule an official http://ow.ly/eYXLz
  11. Looks like we made quite a good impression on these future recruits http://nebraska.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1429601
  12. From what I am hearing, Biggs still wants to redshirt. I'm sure it will be hard for him to sit out this year but seems that is the direction he is leaning. I hope he decides to play but guess we will know on 11th the final verdict.
  13. If Miles gets over 10 overall wins this year with this group, he should be national coach of the year. I certainly hope he does but our depth is not good this year and will end up costing us some games. Looking down the road, I can see wins increasing each year under Miles and will be a huge jump in wins and talent from year 1 to year 2.
  14. Another unofficial visitor this wknd is 2015 C Blaise Gammon, a 6-7 kid from Overland Park, KS, and the KC Run GMC AAU squad.
  15. #Nebrasketball will (finally) host 2015 PF Liam Duncan, PF Ryan Welage and SF Tahjai Teague of the Eric Gordon All-Stars AAU team this wknd. All were supposed to visit for Wisc FB game, but had to cancel due to weather issues. NU also hoping to get 2016 G Eron Gordon to Lincoln.
  16. What does it mean when is say HOT by certain topics?
  17. I got a call as well. You could tell it was pre-recorded but still pretty cool. I know one of the players on the NU women's Bball team and they actually have to make personal calls to all the season ticket holders and thank them for their support.
  18. Really??? Freshman Year = 4.4 ppg & 2.0 rpg Sophomore Year = 6.1 ppg & 3.7 rpg Junior Year = 6.7 ppg & 5.3 rpg How can you say his sophmore year he did when he actually had better numbers last year?
  19. Not really as I'm actually going to be paying much less in the arena than I have been at the Bob. I think they did a great job in making it very affordable for season tickets are the new home.
  20. Worked his butt off = YES. Put up decent numbers = NO
  21. The ticket office never seems to be in a hurry. i would guess it will be towards the end of October before we get them.
  22. I'm not sure Agau factors into his decision or not. There is a better than average chance that Biggs would be starting PG this year whereas if he wants and redshirts this year, there's also a good chance he might be in a backup role off the bench for his two seasons of eligibility. To me, that would be enough for him to want to play. I know MIles said he wants to play him so hopefully the coach will end up winning out.
