Nude Jello Wrestling. Lingerie Checkers. Monster Truck Washing. I mean, really, it's hard to believe we can't be more creative for halftime than this.

Huskers draw ACC Champ Hurricanes in BiG/ACC Challenge
tcp replied to uneblinstu's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
New shiny place to play? And I think there's some expectation that Miami takes a big step back, probably trying to avoid Miami getting hammered vs. a top Big Ten team. I think they're trying to create 12 competitive games. I was under the impression that the challenge peer matches as best as possible, which would explain Miami dropping down to NU. Way down. All starters gone. -
oh, wait until I anony-tweet that Tai's talking to Louisville. fun!

Doc Sadler not candidate for open KU asst position
tcp replied to Huskerbb73's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
Considering that Self's last DoBO got hired as a head coach at another program, I'm not sure exactly what you'd be reading into that. Norm it just furthers strengthens my view. The last guy in that position got a new gig, Doc did not. I will state I really wish things had worked out for Doc in Lincoln, he WANTED to be there and in my opinion would have stayed had things worked out. That said, I was never impressed with his coaching or recruiting skills. Self not hiring him tells me he may agree with my assessment. NO it doesn't. Doc's largely temporarily parking in the DOBO spot as he figures out what he wants to be when he grows up. He's not married to the K program in a way that you might expect an assistant to be when first hired. There's no indication that Sadler wanted an assistant slot (which would be the one piece of actual evidence which would support your conclusion) and every indication that his tenure helping Self out was similar in nature to Bo hanging out in Norman for a year or so with Stoops. The situations are pretty analogous. -
sadly, you should do these things during a stage in life where the the divorce repercussions are minimal. in short, before 30.

best thread ever. 2 pages on whether or not the thread should even exist in its current locale. We're getting like the Sartre discussion boards. And when that happens, it's probably a good time to binge on hookers and blow.

he waited until Zeller declared to tweet that, ya know. coast is clear now, big fella!

Lindsey Moore goes 12th overall to Minnesota Lynx
tcp replied to Row6Seat10's topic in Row 6 Seat 10
we have a few women who probably deserve one. I think she rates it. Outstanding career. -
Two of my alma maters going head to head is always fun. We have a long, quality history with U Dub athletics as well. I do think they'll want a solid chance at winning the game, though. Don't want to start the arena and season off with a big name blowout. I would love New Mexico, actually.

A college degree is at its most economically worthless in the history of the western university. If a player stays, its to improve as a player. One guaranteed high first round contract is more money than a cum laude mechanical engineering graduate will make in a lifetime (on average). Fans have a tendency to place their own needs above those of the players and then rationalize it.

The state outline is back!

They paid the $$$. It's a lot more subtle than the Yum Center Well, that's setting the aesthetic bar high. -

well, i'm pleased they found room for the two bank logos. should enhance the viewing experience tremendously. -
being picked below PSU and Northwestern (cough) means that we'll probably finish in around 8th or 9th instead. Hell, we finished 10th this year.
-
Nope. They switched it this year that there is no longer a way out once you declare even if you don't sign an agent. I wonder if that's the way the NBA wanted it. I would assume so, since all the provisional draft entries burn league resources trying to scout and evaluate all of them prior to the draft. And if there's anything the NCAA will defer to, its the pro leagues.

and to this day one of the biggest upset ever. what a great game that was.

I'm pretty bitter, and I'm not kidding. Okay, I am. It's just that I can't stand Wichita St's primary funding machine, so I kind of hate them, too. Can this end in a tie? Really, it's Michigan or bust for me.

sandusky scandal is the worst in sports history. probably by a couple of light years. everything else is pedestrian in comparison.
-
most places think he would be a 1st rounder next year. With less people declaring than normal due to not being able to test the waters he may still be a first rounder this year. even if he goes late in a sucky first round, it's burning quite a bit of cash compared to where he'd probably go with a bit more development. it's not like he's a poor kid who needs the cash now. in any event, i'm cool with him leaving. anything weakening michigan is fine by me.

happy for the rutgers players, and word on the street is that none of them wanted to complain because they're there for the degree and getting booted is bad for their academic prospects. not worth the risk to the schollie, in other words (friend of mine teaches there, and that's what I got from him). foolish to try to sweep this under the rug. don't know what it is with university presidents and coverups.
-
hardaway's going to regret this. burke is doing the right thing. he'll be close to a lottery pick. pistons want him bad.
-
wonder how much the donations for the first row were? and that student section is suspect.

some of these people need pre-employment psych evals. this dude should be forced to coach latrell sprewell for one week. that should take care of the problem.
