Don’t want to poo poo on the game too early… but I’m getting huge “here we go again” vibes. -

You also only have to pay a rookie contract instead of a veteran contract when you pay freshman.

Looking at the beginning of the year, we were pretty fortunate thinking we wouldn’t have to play most of the teams in the bottom half of the league. Oh how the tables have turned since then. now you’re left with games against teams like Iowa that are Q4 home games. Sucks.

So a couple of things. 1st, there has been a ton that has happened since DW made that comment and Fred is more in the majority than minority now when it comes to using transfers. As you noted, it almost makes you wonder why you should even recruit freshman. And I have a few reasons. 1. 13 scholarships. 13 guys aren’t going to play and if you have 3-5 transfers sitting on your bench, you’re going to have some chemistry issues. Freshman are more willing to take the experience even though they might transfer. 2 Though it’ll be rare, you’re still going to have a guy here or there that sticks around for multiple years. 3. The grass isn’t always greener. We’ve seen guys go back to the school they started at. If you have a freshman come, transfer out, and hit the portal again… you’ve develop that relationship already. Just a few quick thoughts I’ve had.

Maryland (25-15) vs. Nebraska (24-12) Series Game Thread

Our complete inability to take care of CU games the past 5-7 years is mind boggling. They aren’t a juggernaut by any means. It’s a lot of head stuff and I fear we have a lot of head issues (here we go again) type of things going on in mid-week games. -

We’ve already squandered at least 5-10 points it feels like. It’s early, but dang… we could have been near or even top of table right now. -
So much this. It’s probably not every day you can grab a former P5, 3 point specialist, who is willing to accept a role of the bench, and who won’t cause problems, before stepping foot on campus. But CJ is one of those guys.

Damn— was 20 minutes late with my joke. *Tips hat

I mean-- the dude didn't get a single minute of playing time. So I can't fault him for leaving....

Shoot-- if we can just leap to where we were last year, that would be a huge plus.
-
We've really signed two guys who, with the right change of scenery, could absolutely EXCEL under Fred. If they come in with the right mindset-- look out!

So I noticed that MSU/Michigan play a 4 game set this year and it appears they'll get an extra game in the standings. How is this possible? Doesn't seem right, but does it happen every year?
