Its the conflicting message he is sending more than anything. If he would of said this from the very beginning fine, but don't give the hogwash that you want to focus on school and your heart isn't into basketball one day and then complete 360 and say basketball is life the next. I agree. This is probably the reason behind the sudden vitriol towards Walter.

No way, we're looking at Big Fat E's son? That's rad, and yes it makes me feel old too.

And that's one thing I couldn't stand about the post game show on the Ticket. After one game they host asked is Miles on the hot seat? His reasoning for asking that is there had been a couple posts on the facebook page about it so he had to address it. No you do not. You can let the idiots be idiots in silence. I even heard it a day or two later on the afternoon show. You still don't need to address it. This is one of the reasons I quit listening to sports talk radio.

OK, I've come to a painful conclusion

I have too small of an attention span to be reading an in game thread while I'm watching the game. It's all I can do to catch up on what people are saying on twitter during time outs and breaks in the action. -
Ya you lost me on that he's on notice comment too.

I'm with you, if we end up having room I'd take him. Only time will tell....

Inspiration, Maryland and beyond
Red Rum replied to HolyBobpilgrimage's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
I think you need to temper you're disappointment a little bit. Just like people shouldn't have gotten too high after last season, people shouldn't get too low after this one. It's not the system it's the players in the system. No one could consistently hit 3 pointers and they really missed the handful of points per game from Leslie. While I think the rule changes did affect them a little, not having a 3 point shooter or a low post presence to open up driving lanes was a bigger factor. The reason why Nebraska looks better against teams like Illinois and Maryland than teams like Iowa and Wisconsin isn't effort, it's matchups. It's easier to get to the rim, which is our bread and butter, against teams that aren't long like Iowa and Wisconsin. So in summation, I don't think there is a "problem" as much as crap happens. Things went south and they wanted to win so bad they couldn't dig themselves out of the quick sand. -
The plot thickens.... He got the dreaded vote of confidence http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/12426084/tom-crean-indiana-hoosiers-gets-vote-confidence-ad-fred-glass

I think it would help tremendously if we let the PGs be the primary ball handlers, especially T Smith. To me it looks like the offense works better that way. There's a lot more motion to our motion offense. I'm hoping between Smith, Watson and Benny they can find a guy that can do that. It's a lot easier for defenses to key in on TP if he's always the one with the ball in his hands.

FYI, I meant to say Georgia wore the Converse unis (only available picture)

I'm just not a fan of the PA announcer in the first place so I guess that means I don't like it when he yells Runzas.

I don't remember all the teams that had them but I feel like I remember South Carolina having them. Don't hold me to that. In any event I love those jersey and the shoes that matched them.

We should probably get this out there somehow. I believe this is his most recent 3 Stooges impersonation

Question, would I be able to get my hands on a pair of those drunk goggles they use for the drinking and driving thing they do every year? Or do I have to "acquire" drunk goggles the old fashion way?

I hate to say it but I give up.....
Red Rum replied to Hoops_Legend's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
I've been a season ticket holder for 8 years and have missed maybe 10 games total. Needless to say I've seen more than my fair share of painful basketball. I've never even once thought about giving up. -
I do think we need to be concerned.....Drake sucks. I might be a crotchety old man that grew up in the haydays of gansta rap, but Drake is terrible. I'm almost going to call him a no talent a$$ clown.

I also sat during the timeouts of the No Sit game last year. I'm not ashamed to admit it. Also, no white shirt for this guy. I'll be wearing the same red shirt I've been wearing since Nebrasketball moved to PBA.

I like your completely necessary use of timeouts but c'mon man. I've skipped rec league games to watch Nebrasketball. Granted my rec league team was absolutely terrible but still. I hope I didn't highjack this thread, my apologies! Yeah, it's kinda one of those things where I gave my teamates my commitment for the season. I tried to get the team to flip to wednesday nights this year because of all the tuesday night Husker games, but I was overruled. It's tourney time and my team is pretty solid this year! Someone had to hijack it. Like I said my team was absolutely terrible so I had no problem taking a game off from getting embarrassed to go watch Nebraska. good thing Nebraska usually won the games I took off.

I was really hoping we'd beat the combined score of our 2 previous games combined but we fell short. I guess I'll live with just having the win....I guess -
Closer to College GameDay than the Experts Thought...

I have come to the realization that I might be the only one in American that hates Bill Rafftery. I'm ok with this.
