There were a whole lot of games last year we did not look like a tourney team as well. Long way to go and I’m sure many more highs and lows

Nope-- but I did see one in that performance against Creighton and probably St. Mary's as well. So which team shows up to each game? We can't be that inconsistent team who plays well one night and terrible the next. That's not going to get it done. We're going to need to be the CU/St. Mary's team much more than the Sparty team.

I didn't see a tournament team last year based on Creighton, at Minnesota, at Iowa or at Maryland. It still happened though. It's a long season. I still believe in this team but we really need to defend our home court all season, do very well in Hawaii (at least 2-1 with the loss not being to a crap team), and pick up a couple more road wins than we did last year.

He just needs some of that secret stuff.

The Huskers should win this one easily. Tarleton has a NET of 197.

Hopefully that is where having depth and playing 10-11 guys helps

Look at Nebraska, tied for 3rd in D1 basketball players per million residents. Obviously a lot of them aren't at high-major programs, but there's been some players coming out of the state recently.

Hoping Hawaii is a “Springboard”

I don’t see a tournament team based on the performance against Sparty. If we are to be a factor in this league then Friday night needs to be a victory.

I expect to see effort out of the gate. No more sleepwalking against supposed lesser opponents.

The next best game on Friday is probably SDSU @ Colorado. We’re also the only game on regular TV. So it’s safe to say there’ll probably be a lot of eyes on our game. Big one for the Huskers.

I agree with you and it's shocking cause he didn't look like this when he played at Rutgers. We could use him in the rotation so hopefully it will just take a few shots to go in for him to gain some confidence cause it looks like he doesn't have any at the moment.

To me, GG he looks lost on both ends. Thinking about everything he does rather than reacting instinctively and being ahead of the play. He’s always behind by a beat.

Was just looking at the box score again since it was posted and yeah, he was on the court a long time to have such an empty stat sheet outside of shooting. No boards, no assists. Gotta get him locked in and helping lead this thing. This game had shades of last year’s Minnesota game where we just lost the ability to do anything for 20 minutes. We had a decent run after that game leading up to beating Purdue. Here’s hoping we regroup this year too.

I’m particularly interested in seeing how Brice Williams plays this Friday.
