Mose, I love ya buddy, I really do. So, let me be candid. If McDermott passed on Fuller, he's an idiot. Fuller's tape is fantastic. His stats are mind-blowing. I am saying right here and right now that I will be mildly surprised if he's not on some B1G all-freshman team at the end of this season. He's like a left-handed version of McDermott's kid. How the heck would Greg pass on this guy? That would be totally mystifying. I don't care about Rivals rank. But from what I've seen on film, I would take Nick over Leon every day of the week and twice on Sundays. By the way, speaking of Rivals rank, first Gilmore was not ranked. Then he appeared out of nowhere and jumped to top 90. Now, he's slipped way back into the mid-100s. Who knows where he'll end up? Not sure the ranking services really know what to do with this kid. But I'm happy for him because he's going to a decent program in a decent conference and has an opportunity to get a good education. He seems like a nice kid and he seems to have a nice mom who is very excited about her son going off to college. And good for them. I hope he does well and, like I said earlier, I'll be pulling for him. And like 49r pointed out, I'm not disappointed that he chose Creighton. I don't know Norm, I don't trust much of anything that comes out of Rivals. Matt Perrault is an employee.

Of course they will. . And Husker fans will tell me that Gilmore would have committed had he been offered. Fact is, neither of us know, but it sure is nice to pretend like we do now isn't it. Who knows if would have. I don't doubt we passed on Gilmore. But it may be more because he didn't fit our needs than whether or not he is a good player. We need Centers & PFs and maybe a guard. We don't need wings. Creighton is in the exact opposite position. They desperately need athletic wings.

Have we ever landed a recruit that worked with Adam Barnes? Just asking. It seems like they always end up elsewhere.

This seems pretty big for Creighton. Their recruiting was lagging behind nearly all of the other Big East members. I hope he enjoys his time there, that he finds individual success, but that his team struggles horribly.

That was definitely my thoughts and obviously given his rating he's someone likely to make us regret it. Not sure if Nebraska wasn't his thing or if we slow played since we're all in on Centers or PFs. It's a good get for the boys in blue. P.S. Saw some DoubleJ replies to a McKewon tweet about this. What an awful human.

One advantage of members only...it makes people sign up (and perhaps participate) rather than lurking, which I did for quite a while until I realized I needed to join to get the info I wanted about recruits.

Actually, when she did that I became pretty optimistic as well. You do have the timing a bit wrong though. Momma Gilmore registered after Gilmore got back from visiting both Creighton and Nebraska with Adam Barnes. Her post at that time was something along the lines of "Leon really enjoyed his time up there and was impressed with your campus. He will most likely be taking an official visit this fall." Sure enough he did. Tom, How many tweets did you send to the 17 year old begging him like a little girl to commit to Creighton?
