Huskers staff must have known it would be an extreme long-shot and/or Leslee wanted to finish it out with a ranked squad to greater heights than the prior year's dancin'. Mr. Smith would have certainly a nice clog in the lane to face the Hammons/Haas & Stones of the Big Ten!

The year he redshirted at SMU he wasn't injured, so the odds of getting an extra year weren't that good.

I thought I read that he was injured the year he redshirted at SMU.

He actually was injured that year, but in March, so that was just a regular redshirt season.

I like how on the OSU/MSU game last night, the announcers made a point to say that him slapping the floor was not what injured him....right.

He was hurt on that play. Probably when he fouled tai, but he had to come out because he was hurt.
