We just in a really big rut right now. They are trying, but maybe too hard.

Well no offense to King...he can be a quality starter some day...maybe, but when he's your Friday night guy you know the HC and pitching coach failed on the recruiting trail.

 

 

Burkamper should be the Friday starter, but he can't throw strikes consistently.

You can tell that both teams are having trouble feeling the strike zone tonight. A lot of called third strikes with batters giving the ump the "whut" look after getting rung up.

And I am saying both teams.

I turned it off....are we chasing pitches if Mich has struggled with the zone? We have only put up 3 runs. Would not surprise me if so...our discipline vs Creighton was horrible.

Another rough one.  Hitting here and there, but not opportunistically.  Not much production with guys in scoring position.  Pitching continues to be an issue.

Really a piss poor effort again today. Pretty much a nail in the at large coffin. Better hope we bring it in Omaha or we will be sitting at home come tournament time once again.

Well, a piss poor outcome, but I don't know if means our effort was bad.  We're just not very good.

If we fail to win in Omaha...the question that needs to be asked is....making 1 regional in five years good enough? Erstad continues to look like a lackluster hire.

At this point, I am hoping we can win enough to make the Big 10 tournament.
We were the last team in last year at 9 wins...already at 7. It would take a gigantic Erstad collapse to not make the Big Ten tournament. But weirder things have happened....either way, it's sad that we have to think that way as opposed to talking about at large chances and hosting a regional. Erstad has really done a poor job

I thought Silva was a good hire.  He had some success at his previous stops.  Pitching wasn't the problem last year.  He is not getting through to these guys this year.  We tie the game 1-1, then our pitcher walks the hitter on 4 straight pitches.  All of a sudden, we are behind again.

We play 1 game vs RPI 153 team and a series vs the 217 RPI team....we need a clean sweep for those still thinking this team has a punchers chance at an at large bid. I guess we need to worry about getting to Omaha first...but like I said previously. It's win in Omaha or bust.

Blah Blah Blah... honestly just tired of the negativity toward the team and coach.  I have just come to realize that you'll just never be pleased.  If we lose... its negativity.  If we win... it wasn't showy enough... We steal a base... wasn't fast enough... we hit a homer... wasn't far enough.  So after reading your posts... I try to say something positive.  I guess thats just the type of person that I am though.  So I'll continue to stay positive even when things are bad and let what ever happens happen.

You have zero idea what you're talking about. It has nothing to do with positivity or negativity. From a numbers game at this point anything but a 4-0 week coming up won't be good enough. Feel free to argue and use facts for once. Blah blah blah

I like i said before HB 13 doesn't like Erstad etc.
I don't like what's he's done with he program(of hasn't done)...that's correct. In your mind you may think he's doing a great job because he was a former great Husker...but the actual results say differently thus far.
