I don't look at it that way. I was wondering after the crushing these guys poured on Italian Rec teams and SWAC teams if these guys were legit or just overwhelming bad teams. This sort of answers that question....The Jays are probably going to be better record-wise than last year but I don't think they're top tier Big East good. Also, it was Indiana.....for me this game wouldn't be quite the same if this had been Purdue.

 

I know some people have beating the Jays as their number one priority. To me making the tourney in a year we got killed by Creighton was a lot more satisfying than any of the wins over the Jays in the Collier/Sadler eras.

Thomas Bryant apparently played well.  Not HUGE stats, but 17 points and 7 boards.  The write-up in the paper made it sound like he just dominated.

 

He's only a freshman, but that's what you get when you have a 5-star freshman center on your roster.  They play like seasoned vets.  It's not about upside or high ceilings; the 5-star kids are basically there.  That's why they have 5 stars.

 

And Thomas Bryant just went out and showed he deserved them.

After all we heard how Cole Huff was the best thing since sliced bread he looks awfully like your typical MWC player.  I don't think we match up very well with Creighton, especially on their home court but once again they hype doesn't meet the eye.  The Big East looks pretty mediocre this year so they should be able to finish middle tier.

I like that we are playing after we have played a few games.  I still don't think we beat them there, but... better than if was to be this weekend.
