Maryland post game

Did anybody else just see what Maryland did after their win tonight against Princeton or before the game for that matter?

It was just plain stupid. There coach tries way to hard when see is the center of attention.

ESPN tries too hard.

At times it does seem like she has a screw loose.

I grew up in MD, and I don't like her... or her Terps. She seems a bit wacky.

Regarding what she did after the game with Princeton... She better get ready for an IRS audit.

Watched part of the Md. game, but missed the end. What happened?

 

Also watched part of the UConn/Rut game.....do you realize UConn have shot over 50%...as a team...for the entire year.   ....all year.

After the game the coach brought in a cut out of Obama with a Maryland jersey on and the team started yelling at it and punching it. 

 

It was kind of weird and the players were really working the camera.  To me it came off as immature.  But hey they win and the school seems to like her so...

I have watched every UConn game this year online or on TV. Have been obsessed with them since Rebecca Lobo was playing for them.. Its crazy that Geno can get great players year in and year out. I would rather watch their games than most guy games because they are so efficient every year. I would love to see Geno coach another team for one year to see if he and his coaching staff are really that good at getting the best out of the players. I don't think a team will come within 15 points the rest of this tournament.

Seriously?  Do you suppose that was her idea or something stupid ESPN came up with?  Wasn't there some weird ticket punching thing in the locker room before Minnesota played us at PBA?  I've always wondered if that is something the network comes up with, and the coaches and players go along with it for the cameras.

Has anyone else noticed that Maryland seems to have trouble selling tickets?  I see lots of empty seats, and not just during the regular season.

Here is some of it.  After all the yelling and jumping around then a few of the team took the cut out and made that fake we are sorry face and fake apology.  Just thought it was tacky and immature.

i didn't see it, but, evidently, bho must have picked against them? yep, minny had that awkward "ticket" punching episode. i wish espn would knock off the pregame locker room crap. there is absolutely nothing of value gained by those moments (for the viewers).

i really didn't have a problem with coach's comments before the players approached the "cut-out". what happened then is rather childish, imo. no argument here from her coaching record. i have stated previously on another post that IF Geno would happen to resign in the very near future, i'd be willing to bet her name would be thrown in the hat for the position. it's been stated she is one of the best motivators in women's college bb.

Don't care too much for that coach. Kind of rubs me the wrong way somehow. But I realize she can really recruit/motivate on a consistent basis so respect for that.

 

Saw no problem with the cutout/jersey and 'bust the president's bracket' thing. That's coming from a staunch supporter of President Obama (if it matters at all).
