I would guess this Miles approach is like shock therapy which can only be used once. It is like plunging a hypodermic full of adrenaline into someone's heart after the paddles have failed. Usually it is useless, but on rare occasions the person sits up and asks what happened. Hopefully the team responds by giving us a couple of upsets to end the year and begin the next one.

Unfortunately, Miles witnessed this firsthand this summer, when a friend in his foursome had  a major MI during the round.  Full CPR and defib tried but failed in the course parking lot.  It's been a helluva year, but coach knows life is still very good and he is blessed.
