Matthew Atewe -> Auburn -> Washington

Thomas reminds me of a more talented version of Quincy Hankins-Cole, whereas I can't really find a comparison to Sai because we haven't had an athletic and dynamic post like him in over a decade.

I also think Sai's potential is much higher, and we get to develop him for 3 years

If his in-home with Miles and Harriman isn't until Monday, I'm not sure this tweet a good sign.  Who did he see yesterday?  I hope he picks us but I wouldn't put the chances any higher because of this.

You can take the tweet two ways... You can take it as a "these guys really impressed me... I think I am going to go with them."  OR "Wow these guys did not impress me much on this in home visit... Nebraska is probably the front runner for this one, and if they impress on the in home, they are in."  Thing about social media, is you can get a wrong vibe just from the words and not any expressions to go with it.

And, btw, the tweet was, in fact, as Hooper mentioned, about a shoe purchase.

FWIW you guys would make excellent teenage girls

Here's a better question:  Tumalla or Thomas?  Looks like we may have an answer to our question of why the Huskers cooled off on Thomas and said we were going a different direction.  From what I've seen, frankly, I'd take Tumalla.  Tumallatewe.  Finish off this class with a two-headed monster.

Here is a description of Thomas from his JUCO coach, Butch Estes, provided to Rivals back in early February:

"Butch Estes . . . said Thomas would bring a little bit of everything to his next school.  'I think he's the ultimate role player,' Estes said. 'He's not a go-to guy. He's more of a complimentary, do all the little things it takes to win. So if someone were coming in here saying, "OK, we need a wing that can really light the scoreboard up," that's probably not Kevin.  He rebounds, he passes, he scores, but he doesn't look to score. He's very unselfish, would rather defer to other people type of a player.'"

Perhaps this description provides a hint of why Tim Miles & Co. decided to focus on Tummala.

i like sai, more so than thomas, if we can finish this class off with Sai, and Atewe, added with Fuller, Hawkins, and Tai and the preferred walk-on who with some altered mechanics, could be a dynamic class and put us back on the map. Id really like it, if all 5 schollie's were used.

Well, uh, he has videos for sure.  Impressive ones?  Depends on what you're looking for.  If you're looking for a good sized big man with exceptional athleticism, then you'll be impressed with any of his videos.  If you're looking for a guy with polish, then you won't.  I think it's pretty much that simple.

Cool.  I was just curious, because I cant really find many.  I think I've only seen one or two of them and there wasn't really much on those, so I didn't know if someone knew where the best place to find them was.  I just tried to google.  I haven't really been able to find much of Webster either.  I thought maybe I wasn't looking in the right place.

I'm sure there are some posted in the early parts of this thread.  The ones I've watched include full game videos of his prep school from this season.  If I have a chance and you haven't already seen them, I'll post.  But it's unfiltered stuff.  Shows the good and the bad.  Keep that in mind as you watch.

@MatthewAtewe41: @RobinWashut @tjawtherula what u mean?..

It's a foregone conclusion that Atewe is 'N' as you can be at this point, right?

This was in reference to a Robin tweet about the rumor that Tai may not end up at Nebraska which, Washut said he WILL be here.

that tweet came AFTER Robin said that though so its more like Atewe hadnt heard it and the tweet by robin concerned him possibly and wanted more info.

I know what it is in reference to. That's why I assumed it meant that Atewe is 'N' after he tweeted his question since he's obviously very intrigued by the situation. You know, Tai Webster and Atewe have done quite a bit of messaging back and forth lately.

Tai Jack Webster@Tjawtherula

@MatthewAtewe41 @robinwashut of course I am! Only thing holding me back is this SAT hahaha!

tweeted about 15 minutes ago

So what have we learned so far today?

Webster is coming, he just needs to get test scores up or maybe taken in the first place. Atewe is conversing with Webster, Miles is in house with Atewe tonight and a commitment from him is looming.
