What's With BTN

Got back from the game and turned on the BTN wrap up show. Had I not known the score and what happened at the end, it sounded for all the world that Michigan won big and going away and that Michigan players are world beaters compared to the Huskers. Was shocked--had expected something a little more balanced. What's with that?

We are not a "program" yet.

BTN has done more to pump up NU to audiences than anyone, so bagging on them is kind of counterproductive. They're *still* jabbering about our facilities, even thought he paint job on that one's getting a bit dull.

 

We probably need to start beating some quality teams before we get pumped up as  a basketball program. And we're just not doing that right now.

Tim Doyle is a dbag. That's all I know. He constantly takes backhanded slaps toward NU and mocks them. Guy needs to spend less time on his hair and ego and more on becoming knowledgeable and likeable.

Just remember we are still "newbies" in this league. Don't expect Maryland and Rutgers to be poster programs next year either. And Michigan does have a slightly larger basketball footprint than we do if the network is playing to a national audience. If the last tip had fallen or the halftime prayer had missed, the emphasis would have been decidedly different.
