HuskerPower #nato73 Posted October 8, 2013 Report Posted October 8, 2013 Anybody notice the twitter exchange with a Shuttlesworth? I am way to wrapped into this. Ready for the season to cheer on who is actually here. Quote
The Polish Rifle Posted October 8, 2013 Report Posted October 8, 2013 Not sure if posted, but saw this.... "RT @FeelDaPaign: According to @BlackStripeBlog, OSU commit D'Angelo Russell thinks four-star center Elbert Robinson will pick the Buckeyes" Quote

hhcdave Posted October 8, 2013 Report Posted October 8, 2013 I will make only one guarantee on this: NO WAY IN HELL he is going to OSU. He is completely mocking their fans and everyone who thinks he is. My guess? He got burned and not happy with how they treated him during the visit. Probably also talked down about Nebraska more than any of the other suitors since they're in the Big 10. OSU is out. No chance in hell. SMU is out too. No chance in hell. Unless Larry Brown is paying really well and cheating like his days in Lawrence. Even so, this kid aint going to SMU. Its been us, A&M and LSU. If I'm setting the odds, here's my final guesstimates: LSU - 60% NU - 35% A&M - 5% Cell, jdostal, HuskerActuary and 1 other 4 Quote

Mudley was the 5th overall, I guess depends on the site, but that's besides the point. Larry Brown did some work to land that one. After reading peoples feedback, I feel like Dave has the percentages dead on. Come on Big E flip those and be "N" Quote
jdostal Posted October 8, 2013 Report Posted October 8, 2013 For what year? Jahlil's list is down to 4 with UK on it. Quote
ajb5856 Posted October 8, 2013 Report Posted October 8, 2013 U guys see this response? I'll post the tweet and then the response. I think this OSU fan has it right. @FeelDaPaign: According to @BlackStripeBlog, OSU commit D'Angelo Russell thinks four-star center Elbert Robinson will pick the Buckeyes @BlackStripeBlog: @FeelDaPaign From what people have said, he thought Goodluck was coming too. Maybe it was him "hoping" they commit. Quote
Norm Peterson Posted October 8, 2013 Report Posted October 8, 2013 Are we at 40 pages yet? We are getting pretty close, just need some more Norm on here and we'll be there before tomorrow. Sorry, guys. I was making some Chicken Coq au Vin last night and not available to participate in the getting this thread over 40 pages. I'll try to pull my weight more today. (And that's a lot of weight lately.) BTW, the Coq au Vin recipe I was using involves preparing most of the dish the night before. It also calls for using two bottles of red wine, which I thought was excessive. So, I just used 1 1/2 and the other half, well, it didn't get wasted. Just a quick update because I'm sure everyone cares about what I eat (not really) but, anyway ... Dayum! If you have a hankering for Chicken Coq au Vin, I'd suggest the Alton Brown recipe. It'll probably be the first result in a google search. I was right that 2 bottles of red vino would have been too much. 1 1/2 was plenty and the rest, um, didn't go to waste. Sauce was rich and velvety. Pearl onions, button mushrooms, salt pork (cut into small cubes) in a gravy of chicken broth and red wine (and a small amount of tomato paste) thickened by reducing it a third and then whisking in a combo of equal parts butter and AP flour. Ladled over egg noodles and served with the chicken that was marinading overnight in the wine and then cooked with the wine in a heavy, cast-iron french oven. Omigosh. I'm not going to bed hungry, that's for darn sure. Feeling a bit ... full ... in fact. So much for that diet. But it was worth it. leonidas 1 Quote
Norm Peterson Posted October 8, 2013 Report Posted October 8, 2013 I will be disappointed if Elbert doesn't pick Nebraska. I'll be suprised, though, if he does. Does that make sense? Not gettin' my hopes up but still I'll be disappointed if he's not a Husker. This kid would be a game changer for us. I really believe that. Quote

ajb5856 Posted October 8, 2013 Report Posted October 8, 2013 @EvanDanielsFOX: Elbert Robinson is announcing his college choice tomorrow. Saying LSU is the strong favorite would be an understatement. Quote

ajb5856 Posted October 8, 2013 Report Posted October 8, 2013 So does anyone know how the interest levels on the 247sports profiles work? For Elbert, for the longest time it said LSU-warmer, Ohio State-warm, Nebraska-warm... Just recently his interest level in Nebraska went to cool. Quote

ShortDust Posted October 8, 2013 Report Posted October 8, 2013 Weird how that happened... Well based off that site it looks like he's a lock to LSU, wouldn't surprise me. Not really a big fan of 247 Nebraska site since their info is usually outdated and not much husker bball info. Quote

I'll be honest, after the conversation I had yesterday, I felt really good about our chances. With all of the smoke surrounding LSU today, my money would be on them. jdostal 1 Quote
