49r Posted June 3, 2013 Report Posted June 3, 2013 So, if I'm reading this right, we've offered along with Arizona, Iowa St., Marquette, Oklahoma, Oklahoma St., and Texas A&M. Alabama, Duke, Indiana, North Carolina, Texas and UCLA have not offered. Correct? Quote
trickey Posted June 3, 2013 Author Report Posted June 3, 2013 Right...easier to look at the Rivals link http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/basketball/recruiting/player-Austin-Grandstaff-133795 as the cut and paste wasn't to successful Quote

Don't see a way to insert a table, but I think you should be able to make it out better. Quote
Norm Peterson Posted June 3, 2013 Report Posted June 3, 2013 And another (some of the same highlights shot from a different camera angle): Quote
Norm Peterson Posted June 3, 2013 Report Posted June 3, 2013 Don't judge him by the picture with braces on the Rivals site. The kid his game. Not sure about his top 50 rating, but the kid has game. Quote
uneblinstu Posted June 3, 2013 Report Posted June 3, 2013 Im not always great at the comparison game, but I see a little Evan Turner in his game, maybe missing the step back jumper. Quote
TheKamdyMan Posted June 3, 2013 Report Posted June 3, 2013 weird as he's had an offer for awhile now. Robin has been talking about Austin on HOL since November of last year as being an offered player. Quote
Norm Peterson Posted June 4, 2013 Report Posted June 4, 2013 I think the "news" is that we're still involved with and have a shot at him. Same with the D'Angelo Russell kid (or D'Angelo something.)The "news" is that they've been contacted recently and still have us in the mix. That's what I'm gathering, anyhow. Quote

Norm Peterson Posted June 14, 2013 Report Posted June 14, 2013 I actually kinda like this kid. We'll have a lot of spots to fill for 2015. Hopefully this is one we can snag. Quote
Norm Peterson Posted June 14, 2013 Report Posted June 14, 2013 Wow. Didn't realize he was ranked top 50 in the country. Yep, I still kinda like this kid and hope we can snag him. Quote

TheKamdyMan Posted June 24, 2013 Report Posted June 24, 2013 Not too surprising. It's a good basketball school that's still close to home and plays close to home. After getting home sick at a prep school I had a feeling being closer to home could be a big piece of his decision. Quote

Section_316 Posted February 7, 2014 Report Posted February 7, 2014 Would be an incredible get. Program changer. Not sure if there's a chance in hell Quote
TheKamdyMan Posted February 7, 2014 Report Posted February 7, 2014 Would be an incredible get. Program changer. Not sure if there's a chance in hell distance has always seemed to play a part in his decisions. I don't see him going TOO far which helps us a very small amount. Quote

Norm Peterson Posted February 11, 2014 Report Posted February 11, 2014 He's a very good player. Extremely good. Which explains why he heard yesterday from No Carolina, Virginia and Ohio State. We need kids like this. But when Roy Williams and Thad Matta are on the other line, he's not going to take calls from us, I'm afraid. Quote

We have a player that talked to Billy Donavan... and he still found his way to Lincoln. Positive attitudes worked for Bob Devaney and Bluto. Quote
KearneyMan Posted February 12, 2014 Report Posted February 12, 2014 Norm is being realistic. Most guys in here need to think on that, instead of having their heads out in Wonderland!! Quote
